"Regardez! nous sommes lá!" I hear as I am awoken by the excited girl next to me. She points to the airplane window and I look out to see that we have landed. I was good that someone woke me up to see this, rather than unfamiliar people strolling slowly to get out of the plane. I let out a sigh and a small stretch. I look at the girl who just yelled that we had made it, and the excitement is clear in her face. I giggle to myself about it. I lay back and think of what she may be doing here, and what the person next her maybe doing and the person in front of me, behind me, and eventually everyone I can see. I get up after the excited girl and walk swiftly trying to get everyone else to do the same but the don't get my signal. We get out and I look deep into where the airplane and the jetway meet. I can see the ground, I start to think if what would
happen if they just disconnected. When I walk out of the jetway I see many people walking, running, eating, and everything you can do while waiting.
I let out a sigh of relief realizing that I've made halfway to my dream place. I start to think of where Alberto may be and what he may be doing. I sort of miss him. I wish we could have talked like we did on the train the same way on the plane. Oh well. I walk up to a cafe and look at the menu. I don't really understand it but two words I remeber forma book I read, croissant and coffee.
"Hello! Un croissant et un petit café, s'il vous plaît." My french accent clear in the hello. The lady looks at me confused but seemed to know what I meant, as she gave the right things. The croissant was dry and the coffee was watery, but this is America and an airport so I don't know what I expected.
I look at the sky through the window and think of Alberto once again. I want to find him so I text him. "did you plane land yet?" "just did" he replies about 5 minutes later. "wanna meet a restaurant?"I ask "sure" he replies quite fast. "ok, i'll let you know which one" I exclaim to him. "ok" he says bluntly
