When they were done eating, so much food was left that would be thrown out. The King stood up and said he would be in his chambers in one hour. He assured him that she would be. Once he left the room, she started gathering up some food for Jungkook. He had to be hungry, and this food was too delicious to go to waste.
When he walked into the room to escort her to her chambers to get ready for her night with the King, he was shocked when she handed him a bundle of food. "Here, eat some, please!" He tried to refuse and say he couldn't. Hee gave him a look, "I'm going to be the Queen am I not?" He nodded his head softly, "Then eat the food. Otherwise, I won't be happy."
He took the food and thanked her. When she heard his stomach growl, she insisted that they stay there so he could eat really fast. When Jungkook was finished eating, he stood up and hurried Hee out of the room. "We have to get you ready quickly before the King throws a fit."
Hee was running behind him, "Jungkookah, please slow down. Your legs are so much longer than mine." He slowed down and looked behind him. He sighed heavily before he picked her up and ran with her in his arms the rest of the way.
He sat the Queen on a chair in her chambers, "Wait right here; I'll grab what you need." Then he was running off again. He returned to the room carrying a white sleep dress and robe. "Get dressed quickly, and I'll escort you to the King." She nodded and then got up to remove her hairpins with his help; then, it was time to remove the dress. She completely forgot that Jungkook was still in the room; he was quiet. She heard him gasp and quietly say, "I'll be outside when you are ready."
She had to be as red as a tomato but needed to focus. She removed the beautiful dress and quickly changed into the white sleep dress. "Jungkookah, I'm ready."
He walked in with a robe in his hand. "Here, put this over you so no one can see what you are wearing." She thanked him quietly and pulled the robe over her body; Jungkook looked her over quickly and deemed her worthy. "Come on, I need to get you to the King."
They quietly made their way to the King's chambers; she could hear him yelling and throwing things before they even got to his building. Jungkook sighed heavily and gave Hee a look full of pity. The guards outside the King's doors gave her the same look. "Your Highness, your Queen is here."
It got quiet inside his room, and they heard his footsteps approaching the door. He ripped open the door roughly, breathing heavily. His cat-like eyes were full of agitation. "Finally, what took you so long?" he yelled.
Hee bowed to him, "I'm sorry, my King; I wanted to ensure I was presentable for you. I.. I wanted to look pretty for you, my King."
His eyes softened. "My Queen, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on." She wanted to point out that she was probably the only woman he'd ever laid his eyes on, but she didn't. She just bowed her head again. He reached forward and took her hand. "Do not disturb us until I tell you in the morning. Do you understand?"
They all snapped to attention, and the doors were shut behind them. His room was destroyed; there was broken pottery and feathers all over. He felt something wet on her hand. She looked down, and the hand that he was using to hold hers so tightly was bleeding.
He didn't seem to notice, so she pulled him toward the chair on the other side of the room. She gently pushed him down, walked over to the side table, and grabbed some cloth and water. He kneeled in front of him and got to cleaning up his wounds.
He didn't say a word the entire time she cleaned him up; he just stared at her. When she was done, she cleaned up the area where they'd be sleeping. Once it was free of his destruction, she laid down their blankets and pillows. He wasn't coming, so she walked back over to him, retook his hand, and led him to where she wanted him. They stood before the bedding, and she looked him in the eyes, "My King, it's been an exhausting 24 hours for me. Can we go to sleep now?"
