Hana was so mad, not at Hobi for caving nor at Jin for finally getting his way. She was mad at herself. She swore a long time ago that she was never going to trust a man again. If she ever got free, she'd run far away from any men and live the rest of her life in peace.
Was she actively doing that? No, because a man that was too pretty to be real crashed into her life, faked assaulting her, and freed her and all of the younger girls she was caring for. Not one had he ever done anything inappropriate, and he was too polite to be real. Add in the fact that he was head over heels for her; she was doomed.
She was counting on Hobi to keep telling Tae no so she could convince herself to finally leave. But she really enjoyed helping Hee with Yuna, Hee was a great friend to have. Even thinking about leaving her hurt her heart. Dark eyes filled with mischief and the silliest laugh she's ever heard took over her thoughts.
No, no fucking way Hana, you are not going to think about that man. It doesn't matter how sexy he is or the fact that he has abs. She shook her head, "what are you doing?" Hee asked with a small giggle. Yuna was on her hip, and the Crown Princess was talking up a storm.
"Hello Princess, did you enjoy the peaches?"
Hee snorted, "so much that she made both her and Yoongi require a bath afterward." A slight frown crossed the Queen's lips. "I think it might have stained their hair. Yoongi says I'm crazy, but I swear you can see it, right there?" Hee was pointing at the back of the Princess's hair.
It looked a little more yellow, but it could very easily be the evening light shining through the alcove window. "Maybe," Hana muttered as she looked closely, "hard to tell."
A small sigh left Hee's lips. "My best friend and my husband conspired together to make me think I'm crazy. What Gods did I offend to make them hate me so?" Hana snorted before she kissed the Princess. "I don't think your distraction worked. What were you doing earlier? You were pacing like a madman."
"I think I like Seokjin, and it makes me really mad."
Hee blinked a few times, "Do you want me to hype you up or talk you down?"
"I don't know," Hana whined before dramatically plopping on the ground. Hee handed her the Princess, cuddles with Yuna could fix any aliment.
The Princess really was the sweetest baby in the world. She was turning one very soon, and she was beloved by all. Yuna smiled as she received kisses from the little cutie.
"Is this dumb? Trusting a man."
"Well, yes, but it's my brother, and I can promise you not only is he a good man, but all of us would gladly castrate him if he did anything unbecoming."
"I'm going to do it."
"That's awesome. What are you going to do?"
Hana stood up and put her hands on her hips, "I'm going to walk up to him and kiss him. I don't care who is around to see; I must throw him off, or I'll never survive him."
"Let's go put Yuna down because there is no way in the world I will miss that." Twenty minutes later, the two of them walked into the throne room. Yoongi was sitting on the dias, and Jin stood before the heads of families, taking notes. "Go get 'em, Tiger."
Hana took a deep breath; she knew how to do this. Why is she so freaking nervous? She's more than knowledgeable about how to seduce a man; the owners ensured that. But this was the first time in her life that she ever even wanted to touch a man.
Seokjin was muttering little insults about the men in front of him. He was clearly speaking loud enough for a few of them to hear since they were trying and failing to cover up their chuckles. He was looking down at the paper in front of him. "Seokjin," she said with as much courage as she could.
"Uh oh, someone is in trouble," Joon snorted, "she used the full name."
His head was flipping back and forth between the woman he was in love with and his middle brother. "What did you need, Hana?" He tried his hardest to make it seem like his heart wasn't about to beat out of his chest like it does whenever she's near him.
"This," was all he heard before her small hands were palming his cheeks, and her lips were on his. He was frozen; he couldn't move, think, or do anything a man is supposed to do when the woman he wants kisses him. Because he was fairly sure he was dead.
When she pulled back, looking at him with a quizzical expression, she said, "Joon, pinch me. I think I'm dead." Two seconds later, he cursed loudly; Hana giggled, and everyone, including the King, was staring at them. "I said pinch," he whispered angrily.
Joon shrugged, "this was more fun."
"Is there a particular reason that my Secretary of State is kissing his lady and getting punched by the Treasurer? Or is this just a typical Tuesday?"
"My King, I hate to cut this assembly short. But the Crown Princess is in dire need of her father."
Yoongi smirked, his arm wrapping around his wife's waist. He stood and bowed his head, "I do apologize, gentlemen, but my daughter needs me. We'll meet next week."
As everyone left the room, Jin stared at Hana like he didn't realize what was happening. She snapped her fingers in front of his face to get his attention: "Did I break you, because you've been chasing me for over a year, and now that I finally cave, you have nothing to say?"
"Yes," he screamed, making her eyes go wide.
She cocked her head to the side, "yes, what?"
He rubbed the back of his neck, a shy smile on his face, "Yes, ma'am? Yes, anything really, just yes."
She laughed so hard as she reached for his hand, dragging him out of the hall behind her.
