Joon was bored out of his mind. Everyone had someone. Yoongi had Hee, Jin had Hana, and even if she didn't want to admit it, she was head over heels for the older man. Hobi was smitten with Tae once he admitted that he liked men, and Jimin and Jungkook were just as in love as ever. But Joon, Joon had no one.

"Why are you here?"

His eyebrow raised a bit. "Oh, I'm sorry, your majesty. Does your safety not matter anymore? Should I go?"

Yoongi scoffed, "And just who are you protecting me from? The paper? You're going to prevent me from getting a papercut, such a big bad guard you are."

Joon deflated a bit onto the cushion next to the King. "I'm lonely. Everyone has someone, and I have no one."

"Umm, has anyone stood out to you?"

"That's the thing no one has. I had never seen another girl besides my sister before we moved here, and I was resigned that I would live like a monk. But then we found all these girls, but still, nothing."

"Do we need to find you, maybe a man? I don't judge; it would be hard with Tae and Jimin being my best friends."

Joon rolled his eyes hard. "Not the gay Kim brother here. Tae has that one on lock in this family."

Yoongi held his hands up in the air, "I was just saying, if girls aren't doing it for you, then it might be boys. Are you sure you don't want to live like a monk?"

"That's the thing, I don't. I want a wife, kids, the whole thing. I just haven't found anyone that sparked that interest in me. All these girls are all so."

"Broken?"

"Yeah," he whispered, "Hana is the only one with some fire in her, but even she isn't enough for me if I'm being honest."

The King's eyes went wide. "You want more than Hana?" He chuckled. "I'm not sure I could handle that. I love how calm Hee is."

"I'm calm enough; I want a tornado," he said before the warning bells rang, and all hell broke loose. Joon jumped up, and once he made sure that Yoongi was safe, the King smacked him and told him that he was just as trained. They ran to see what was going on.

"Fire," Jungkook yelled once they arrived in the courtyard.

And by fire, they meant that standing on the stables' roof was a girl holding a torch, screaming that she would drop it if they didn't return her sister immediately. Yoongi stepped forward, but she wouldn't speak to him. She'd only talk to the Queen because all men are, are liars.

Hee rushed out, Yuna in her arms, Hana right behind her. "Please, I know you are upset, but our horses are innocent."

The girl scoffed, "I moved them already. There are no living creatures in this barn; while you might be okay with killing, I am not."

Hee nodded, "Thank you," as she bowed. "How can we help you then?"

"My sister, I was told that she was being held here. We have no family; I was sold to a disgusting man by the King. But my owner is dead now, and I want my sister back. Can you do that for me? I have money saved, and I can take care of us."

"Of that I have no doubt, what is your sisters name? I need as many details as you can give me. They sadly didn't keep the greatest records of the girls."

The girl looked sad, "she had a birthmark on her shoulder, about the size of your thumb. And a freckle right under her left eye; her name was Chaesu." Joon knew the girl she was talking about, she was a younger girl, he saw the birthmark because the dress was too big on her and the top slipped down a bit. He made sure she got one that fit better that evening. She was a sweet girl; she'd liked Joon since he read to her every night.

"I know where your sister is; I can take you to her if you come down."

"And why would I trust you?" She sneered.

He shrugged, "I have no reason to lie. My sister is the Queen. We want to reunite the families. You can choose to follow me or not. I was going to go see her anyway since I do most evenings when I read to her." Then he spun on his heels and went to find Chae. Firegirl would either follow him or stay on the roof with her torch, screaming at people.

Not even 15 seconds later, he heard her drop down onto the ground and then the sound of her feet running behind him, "if you are fucking with me, just know I will cut your dick off and shove it so far up your ass you'll be thrown in jail for being the biggest homo in the country."

"Jokes on you; the king's besties are the biggest homes in the country, and he made it legal."

That made her stop walking, and her jaw dropped open, but then she hurried up and caught up to him again. "Do you have to walk so fast? Some of us aren't trees, you know?" She huffed.

"I thought you were in a hurry to see your sister?"

"You read to her every night? Why?"

"Why not?"

She grabbed the back of his tunic; it wasn't enough to stop him from walking. But he indulged her, "Why do you never just answer my question? You asked me another question instead of just answering what I asked you in the first place. That's so frustrating."

"She had nightmares when she first came here; I was on night shift and liked to read. I used to read to Hee, it seemed to work for Chae too. Does that satisfy you, or are you mad that I didn't have some evil answer like I was grooming her to like me so I could have a child bride?"

"Well, are you?"

"No, I'm not. She reminds me of my sister when she was little. That's all; she's a child, and I wanted to help."

Fire girl crossed her arms over her chest, "I still don't trust you."

"You'd be dumb, too, since you just met me, and I don't trust you either."
