"Are you sure you are okay with this? I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
Hee loved this silly man in front of her. "You are the one who is risking their life. All I have to do is jump around on our bed and make noises. Are you okay doing what you are going to do?"
"I'll be fine; I've been training for this my entire life." And he's been sneaking out of the palace for years without anyone even noticing.
She reached up, her fingers running through his long white hair. "We are going to have to cover this up. Everyone will know instantly if it's seen at all, even a flash of it."
"I will wear a hood so no one can see me."
Hee grabbed a black silk scarf. "May I?" He nodded his head and sat down in front of her. She worked on getting his hair tied up and out of the way before she wrapped the long scarf all around his hair, making sure that not one strand was showing. "I'm not sure if a hood is enough, my King."
"It'll be dark, though?"
That was true, but he was the King. "I'd still feel more comfortable if something else covered you." There was a hard knock on their door before Jungkook walked in, all shy. "You're a bit early, Jungkook."
He bowed quickly, several apologies falling from his lips. His slight lisp and accent came out a bit stronger. "I brought something for the King," his hand came from behind his back as he offered the item wrapped in silk. "I wasn't sure you'd need it, but I figured if we are playing up this whole fox thing, then you might as well look the part."
Yoongi took Jungkook's gift, unwrapping it slowly. Inside was a wooden mask with a beautiful fox painted on it. "Jungkook, I don't even know what to say. Did you make this?"
Hee reached out as her fingers traced the design, "this is so beautiful," she whispered in awe.
"I did," Jungkook blushed bright red; he never liked being the center of attention. "It was originally going to be a wolf, but after breakfast, I knew it wouldn't take much to switch it to a fox. You don't have to wear it if you have something else; it was just a thought because."
The King raised his hand; he knew that if he didn't stop Jungkook, he'd keep rambling the entire night. "I love it and am honored to wear something you so thoughtfully made for me. Thank you, Jungkook, for more than just this. Thank you for taking such great care of Hee and loving and accepting Jimin. Thank you for helping us tonight. I know it makes you uncomfortable, but you are doing it anyway. So thank you," then he gave him a deep bow.
By the time Yoongi stood up, the poor kid had tears streaming down his cheeks. "You make it sound like I'm saving the country. I just painted a mask, was nice to my friend, loved my boyfriend, and jumped up and down while grunting on your bed."
Hee laughed, her head thrown back as she giggled with abandon. "That's such an eloquent way to put it. Jungkook, you are adorable."
"Am I not adorable, too," her husband pouted like a child.
"Taehyung," Jimin sighed. "I need you to focus. Have you eaten today?" The younger nodded his head, but Jimin caught it, his tell. His eyes will dart to the right before focusing back at the center. He noticed it with Hobi this morning when he was telling his half-truths. "Have you eaten anything besides that one bite from breakfast when you were making sure that porridge was good enough for your Hobi?"
Tae sighed, "no, I havne't."
Jimin stood up to stroll towards the door. Hobi was out there, but Tae didn't know that. "Can you make him some food? He hasn't eaten anything besides a bite at breakfast, and I need him not to faint on me tonight."
