{Sad boi Tom vibes. Venus makes bad vibes go away. All da Tomus fluff.}

The two just sat in each other's embrace, not daring to move, as if both scared that this was all just some messed up, twisted dream, where they would suddenly wake up, and they would lose each other once more. Silence just rang throughout the clearing, neither noticed nor acknowledged that there was the dead body of Venus' best friend and brother only a few feet away from them. After a few moments of just sitting together in silence, Venus looked up and noticed the body of Cedric lying there in the corner. Venus broke out into tears as she realised what had happened to the boy, and what he had done for her. She could only hope that his family and Hermione could forgive her for what had happened.

Tom gently grabbed her face and turned it back towards him, "Don't worry, he knew what he was doing, his family and soulmate knew what he was doing, they are not going to be cross you or him. They knew that he had to do this for the world to become a better place. I promise that when the time is right I will fix it and it will be just as it was once more." Venus looked up to Tom, tears still in her eyes before their lips met, it was soft, yet hard, passion coursed between the bond that had been severed for so long, pain connecting the two as they poured the love they had for each other relight the flame that for so long had turned dim and almost extinguished, a blazing inferno now set ablaze as they continue to catch up on all of those years they missed, on all the pain each had been through, as they just feel each other.

"I am never going to let you go again," Tom croaks as he buries his head in the crook of Venus' neck, continuing to pepper her with kisses, the odd tear escaping and brushing against the skin of the young redhead,

"And I you... I never should have gone down into that chamber Tommie, I should have listened to you, we knew that Dumbledore was up to something yet I still got caught up in his version of a Venus fly trap... he knew what he was doing all along, he knew we were on to him... It's all my fault," Venus cried into Tom's shoulder, the both of them rocking back and forth, sharing the grief of losing each other and the everlasting love of meeting up once more.

Tom pulled back, confused for a second, his hand still in Venus', "What do you mean about Dumbledore? He told me and the rest of the school that you had been attacked by the monster, I mean we both knew that he was the one to open the chamber and that he was the one to release the basilisk... But what else did he have to do with your death?" Tom's voice shook, fear evident in his eyes at the thought that he had known wrong for so long.

"When I went down to the chamber, I found Cordie dead on the wet floor, in a pool of her own blood, and everything just stopped...There was no monster, no sign of anything else... I should have seen that as the first red flag, but I was too focused on the fact that I saw my best friend, someone who i considered to be a little sister, lying dead upon the floor, and you were standing behind a pillar, where the flash of green light had snuffed the life out of her," Venus began, as she dried her tears.

This shocked Tom because he didn't step foot in that chamber other than with Venus to investigate what the monster inside may be. Venus could see his confusion and so she help up her hand as if pausing him from speaking, as she continued to tell the tale,

"I was devastated and at a loss, my soulmate seemed to be the one who had killed her, I didn't want to believe it, but all of my logic went out of the window. Everything went silent after that, not a sound to be heard other than my cries for this all to be a nightmare and to wake up from this torturous reality... I didn't notice you behind me... or well someone who disguised themself to be you anyways, and before I knew it, that laugh of our stinking professor came from behind and that's when I knew that I had fallen into his trap," Venus looked down into her lap, "He spoke about the fact that I knew too much, that he couldn't obliviate me... but we both know that, that is a lie... we both know that he was going to kill one of us eventually... we knew that when we started that journey, that road... but I was too stubborn, and that was my downfall. He cast the killing curse, and made sure to make it seem like I had died to that snake alongside my sister."
