luke was going out to lunch with his family which gave me the perfect amount of time to finish the meeting before he cane over
i had just sat down and set everything up. i locked myself into my writing room. my laptop was set up on my desk open to our zoom call. harris katie and i were the only ones in the call so far
"kayla! katie! harris! how are you all doing today?" miranda asked. she was my new real manager but katie still would mange some stuff regarding my life
"cold" i said
"yeah it's snowing in new york today" harris said after me and katie agreed
"well you three stay warm today. shall we just jump in with all of this?" she asked and we agreed.
we talked about how well driver's license, deja vu, and good 4 u have done so far. we then moved to talk about how much we had left to record on the album and shared everything with her. katie then brought up doing an album shoot within this month
it was very smooth riding. we all agreed we wanted the album done in a month and then once it was done we would worry about shoots and such.
it was 2 pm by the time the meeting ended. i checked my phone and saw that luke had said he had just gotten out of the shower and would be over soon about 20 minutes ago, leading me to believe he would be here any second .
i unlocked the door but stayed in the room working on a few songs. i was excited to see how well this was all working. everything was going fast but working out well
i was finishing the last vocals loops on enough for you when a knock was placed on my door. i texted luke telling him to just walk in so i could finish this.
as soon as i sent it the door opened and he walked into the room a few moments later
"hello princess" he said kissing my cheek letting me keep working
"give me a few minutes hold on" i said fixing something before listening to the to the whole song to see how i liked it
i loved if so i sent the file to harris before turning around to see luke sitting on the couch in the room.
"hi sorry" i said staying where i was
"don't be sorry" he said smiling at me
"well i am. i am also sorry about how i was last night. i don't really know what came over me" i explained
"baby stop apologizing"
"sorry" i said before slapping a hand over my mouth. he smiled at me
"come over here" he said patting his lap
i got up and sat next to him but swung my legs over his and leaned my head into his shoulder
"i missed you" i said while tracing shapes on his chest
"i missed you" he grabbed my chin and leaned my head up before kissing me.

we spent the day inside my warm apartment just hanging out. i forced him to slow dance with me to new year's day by taylor swift
he just let me do whatever. i made us hot chocolate and we watched all the bright places.
thanksgiving was coming up soon and we hadn't talked about it at all. i figured he was going to be with his parents and i was probably going to the jacobs' again
i let the thought leave my mind so i didn't get upset. i looked over and noticed luke taking a photo of me and lola
"stopppppp" i whined and he laughed
i focused back on the movie while petting the small cat in my lap

i looked at the tweet and back at him before throwing a pillow at him
he laughed before throwing the pillow back at me
"you look pretty. why are you so mad?"
"because i look done with life" i said pouting and he just smiled at me before kissing my nose
"can we cuddle now? i'm cold" he whindd and i just stared at him and he gave me a cheesey smile
