Chapter 12

Stalker

"Number 2 isn't different from 1 and 3 at first glance but the emotional transition of the perfectionist who gives up everything is depicted very well." Yuuji continued his conversation with Junpei.

"Ahhh, that's why you were able to watch number 2."

"I also didn't know why it was beginning in the beginning, you know." 

"I purposely watched it three times. 2 was the most gruesome, too. It was hard to watch."

"Why would you even go that far?"

While two boys were talking about movies, you were busy observing the guy above the bridge. You squinted your eyes as it followed where he was going. 

Yuuji noticed you wandering. "L/N?"

"Yeah?" You answered while still staring at the guy who was now too far away to be seen.

"Do you like movies, L/N?" Junpei asked which caught your attention.

You faced him to answer him properly. "Not really but recently, I've been watching a lot of it together with Itadori."

"Well, that's because I'm in a bit of a circumstance, so I've been completely absorbed in movies lately. But I haven't properly watched them in theatres." Itadori jumped in.

"Me neither."

"Really? But when you watch an interesting movie in the theater, it's really exciting, you know." Junpei said. "Plus, it'll be a great place where you two could date."

"Date?" Yuuji asked.

"Wait..." You said.

"EHHHH???" You and Yuuji synced when you realized what Junpei just said.

"Ahh, you're wrong." Yuuji shook his head while his ears were turning bright red.

"Itadori and I aren't in a relationship."

"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't know you were just friends... Sorry for the misunderstanding."  Junpei apologized.

"It's fine...hmm... Ahh, speaking of theaters," You tried to change the subject as fast as possible. "Junpei, next time if you have something to recommend, take us with you." 

This was Junpei's first time someone ever wanted to go with the theaters with him which left him surprised. "Ahh, what's your contact info?"

"Here's mine." You gave Junpei your phone with your number on it.

"Here." Yuuji then gave his.

"Hm? Junpei." A voice called from behind. "That's rare."

"Mom!" Junpei called.

You and Yuuji looked back and saw a woman with a cigarette walking down the stairs with her groceries.

"Are they your friends?"

"I just met them." Junpei answered

"We just met but it looks like we'll be friends." Yuuji said.

"Ohh... What's your name?" The woman asked when she came close to the three of you.

"Itadori Yuuji!"

Finally, a normal introduction.

"Who's this pretty girl here?" The woman then faced you.

"My name's L/N Y/N. Onions don't suit you, Mom."

The woman smiled because of your remark then she blew off smoke from her mouth. "Oh, you noticed? I am to be a woman who doesn't suit onions."
