-Destiny's POV-
"Destiny stop!" Jesy calls, running up to me and grabbing my shoulders.
"What?" I ask, my thoughts running like crazy!
"Don't do this, you'll go to jail for murder." She says, looking me straight in the eyes.
"You didn't." I argue, remembering how she killed Hunter.
"That was self defense! It's different!" She yells, shaking me lightly.
"So is this, he deserves it!" I yell back, breaking free from her grasp on my shoulders.
I go through every room, looking for Jarod.
Finally, I reach the room he is sleeping in. I flick on the light, which wakes him up.
"What are you doing in here?" He asks groggily, still waking up.
The girls rush into the room, but stop when they see me.
"Getting revenge, you are going to feel what my parents felt that night." I say firmly, holding up the knife.
He gets up, grabbing my arms.
I try to point the knife at him, realizing the blade is now to my neck.
I kick him off me, pushing him out the door and to the edge of the staircase, where a low railing rests.
I can feel the girls trying to get me away from him, but I fight against them.
"Fine, do it. It'll make you feel better, you can get your revenge." He snarls back, getting up.
Behind me, the girls start fighting some one else, and I look back to see Tyler, Amber, Mitchel, and another guy grabbing them.
I push Jarod back, causing him to flip over the railing and fall to the floor.
He lands on his knees surprisingly, and he starts trying to get up.
I start fighting Tyler, Mitchel, Amber, and the other guy, whoever he is.
Tyler grabs both me and Jesy, taking us downstairs with everyone else.
Tyler pushes me to the ground, in front of Jarod.
He manages to stand up, shoving me into a wall with him right in front of me.
"Do it, please just do it." He begs, and I realize that he's had his breaking point.
I stare into Jarod's eyes, feeling emotionless. His expression isn't scared, or even sad. He looks sure of himself, like he wants this to happen.
I close my eyes, thrusting my arm forwards and stabbing Jarod.
He doesn't make a sound, just stands there unfazed.
He grabs the knife out of my hand, then stabs himself through the chest.
He falls down, and I realize he's gone. This is what he wanted... Freedom? Was he overcome by guilt? Anger?
Silence falls, and I want to stand there in shock. Instead I turn around, ready to finish this, for good.
"Let them go." I demand, my adrenaline racing and my heart pounding.
"Make me." Tyler challenges, holding a gun to Jesy's head.
I see Jarod's gun on the floor, and quickly pick it up.
"James, Amber, Mitchel, take the other three somewhere else, I'll keep Jesy here." Tyler demands, and it seems like their gone in a second.
Jesy gives me a worried look, and her eyes are wider than I've ever seen them before.
"You have one shot, be careful. I'll even drop my gun." Tyler taunts, dropping his gun to the floor. He pulls Jesy infront of him, so it's next to impossible to shoot only him.
I've never even shot a gun before! Let alone have good aim!
I fear for Jesy's life, as I aim the gun at Tyler's head.
"What's the matter? Too scared to do anything? Just like the day your parents were killed. You were too scared to do anything except run away!" Tyler yells, and a lump forms in my throat. "Well guess what, running away from your problems doesn't make them go away!"
I try not to let him get to me, my hand shaking as I put my finger near the trigger.
I realize he's right, I could've avoided this by going to the police right away. But I was young and scared, and I had my three brothers to protect. Then again, this all started after Sarah was killed and I went to the police. There was no way around this, no matter what I would've done. Hunter was a serial killer, and so was Jarod.
I hesitantly start to press against the trigger, trying to get a good aim.
"Just do it!" Tyler let's out a horrific yell, almost screech-like.
Time seems to slow down as I pull the trigger, hoping I don't hit Jesy too.
