-Destiny's POV-
~Two Weeks Later~
I feel some one stroking my hand, but I can't see anything at all.
I can hear, feel, and even smell. Have I gone blind and mute?
No... Well maybe.
I try to move, but gravity seems to be so strong that it can hold me down.
I force my eyes open, trying to focus my vision.
I see Jesy sitting on the edge of the bed, looking down at the ground and crying.
I try to say her name, but I can't talk.
I feel a breathing tube in my throat, which is really weird.
I pull my hand up, and Jesy quickly turns her head to look at me.
"Oh my god!" She exclaims, hugging me lightly.
I let out a small squeak, trying to talk.
I start feeling the thing around my neck, realizing it's a neck brace, I relax a little.
I lightly touch the tube coming out of my mouth, but Jesy pulls my hand away.
I look at the casts all over my body, slowly remembering what happened.
"I'll be right back, I'm going to go get the doctor." She says calmly, and gets up on crutches.
I look around, seeing all the machines I'm hooked up to.
What the hell happened to me?!?
Jesy comes back with a doctor following her, tears welling up in her eyes.
The doctor gently removes the breathing tube and a lot of other stuff, and I'm relieved that I don't have to be hooked up to everything.
He takes off the neck brace, reducing the strain on my shoulders.
The doctor leaves without questions or anything, leaving me confused.
"Why was I hooked up to all that?" I ask, my voice quiet and my throat sore.
"You were in a coma..." Jesy replies, wiping tears from her eyes. "For two weeks."
I'm taken aback by the news, gathering so many questions in my head.
"Are the other girls okay?" I ask, worried that they are hurt, or even killed.
"Yes, they're back with their families at the house and waiting for us. Astrid contacted them and sent them to our house." Jesy explains, smiling a bit.
I try to sit up, but lay back down in pain.
"Are you okay?" Jesy asks, suddenly in a panic mode.
"I don't know. Am I?" I ask, clenching my muscles.
"Well you have broken arms, knees, and ribs." She tells me, stroking my hand again.
"Oh... Lovely..." I say sarcastically, wanting to get out of the hospital.
"Wait... Where's your family?" I ask, realizing she should be with them.
"They're at the house, I didn't want to just leave without explanation." She tells me, and a sudden wave of guilt hits me.
"Dammit Jes, you need to stop worrying 'bout me. You haven't seen your family in years, you need to spend time with them and reconnect." I tell her, wanting her to start caring about herself.
"Listen, the doctor said that when you woke up, you would be discharged a day or two after because your body has healed while you were asleep. So I am going to wait for you." Jesy argues back, and I give up on fighting.
She's so stubborn that it's impossible to reason with her, but I like it.
"You didn't have to." I tell her, trying to process everything.
"I didn't want you to wake up and be here alone, I wouldn't leave." She replies, and I roll my eyes.
"Of coarse you wouldn't. Thank you though, I appreciate it."

~The Next Day~
After the doctor makes sure I'm stable enough to leave, he gives me so many different types of medicines that I lose count.
Somehow Jesy and I manage to get out the door, with crutches, a wheelchair, and a whole lot of effort.
My aunt is parked outside, and she helps us into her car.
The movement of the car as we start driving is soothing, nearly putting me to sleep.
I hear Jesy and my Aunt talking, but their words are all jibberish to me.
I feel drunk, but I'm not. Maybe I was on some morphine?
The car pulls into the driveway infront of our house, and I try to get out on my own.
My aunt stops me, and helps me into the wheelchair we brought back, and pushes it up to the front door.
The door opens, and I see Perrie standing there, happier than I've ever seen her.
I'm rolled into the crowded house, and my brothers come running towards me.
"Woah woah! Hold up boys! No jumping on Destiny yet." My aunt warns, and they stop in their tracks.
"Just give me gentle hugs." I tell them, and they embrace me in a group hug.
I look around and see the girls with their parents and siblings, then I realize that I have my own little family, even if my mom and dad aren't physically here anymore.
Even the girls say that we're all considered family, after all we've been through together.
I make my way to the couch, jumping from the wheelchair to the more comfortable couch.
Jesy comes and sits down beside me, putting her arm around me.
"Perrie, Jade, and Leigh are going to go back to live with their families." She tells me, and I now realize that their packing up their things.
"What about you?" I ask, worried she'll not go back with her family.
"I live here... And my family is now too." She smiles, and I can't help but to smile too.
"That's... That's awesome!" I exclaim, happy that I'll be able to see at least one of the girls more often.
"It's finally over... We're free." She whispers, looking at everyone.
"What about Mitchel and Amber?" I ask, remembering that they got away.
"Well... You shot Mitchel in the dick, and tailbone, so he's actually partially paralyzed." She laughs, and I'm surprised.
"What? I shot him there!" I laugh, and Jesy nods.
"And as for Amber, she's probably going to be back in jail for a long time again. They know not to mess with us anymore." Jesy smiles, and I'm happy that it's all over now, for good!
"They're gone for good." I smile back, "now we just have to recover."
"No one thought you would... After the beating you took. I don't know what I'd do if you died, Dest." Jesy admits, and I hug her the best I can.
"Well, I guess I'm just real lucky to be alive." I whisper to her, "I wouldn't want to leave you guys."
