-Mitchel's POV-
"So, you got her in on the deal?" The girl's voice comes through the phone, along with the sound of traffic.
"She's in on it." I reply, feeling guilty, but proud.
"Perfect. She doesn't know about me? Right?"
"Nope. You almost back here?" I ask, sitting down on my bed.
"I'm about half an hour away." She answers, and I smile. "It'll be nice to see you again, finally we both want one thing." She adds on, making me laugh.
"Revenge." I chuckle, running my hand through my hair.
I look out my window, staring at the moon.
"Move out of my way! Where did you get your license? The dollar store!" I hear her yell through the phone, and I hold it away from my ear.
"You should get off the phone if you're driving. I'll talk to you soon." I end the call, putting my phone in my pocket.
She's probably going to be pissed, she hates getting hung up on.
I get up and wander around a bit.
I open the door to the basement, turning on the light.
I slowly make my way down the old, wooden, creaky stairs.
I enter the dusty basement, where I already have everything I need.
"Soon enough, she'll be mine." I tell myself, going back upstairs.
I close the door behind me, looking out the window for my partner in crime. She should be here in about twenty minutes.
I go to the spare bedroom, just to make sure it's made up.
I open the door, revealing the dark room.
Everything looks fine to me.
I close the door again, realizing that I'm extremely bored.
I walk around the living room, flopping down on the couch.
I check my phone, still no reply from Destiny.
I laugh slightly, loving the feeling of being in control.
There's a knock on the door, and I get up. I open the door, letting the red headed girl in.
"I thought you were going to be here in half an hour." I say, curious of how she got here early.
"I drove fast." She replies with a smile, the beautiful smile I remember.
I take her suitcase for her, setting it near the door.
Suddenly, she slaps me in the face!
"What was that for?!?" I exclaim, rubbing my cheek.
"For hanging up on me." She replies, and I roll my eyes.
Girls... Never piss a girl off.
"Come sit." I offer, closing the door.
We both sit on the couch, ready to discuss.
"So, you'll keep me a secret for a month?" She asks, propping her feet up.
"Yup. Every time Destiny's here, you'll just have to keep hidden." I explain, proud of our plan.
"Easy enough. There's nothing more than I want than getting revenge on that bitch." She says coldly, and I'm curious.
"What did she do?" I ask, eager to know.
"She left me without explanation, without warning, and not even a goodbye. Twice. Some friend she was." She explains, then calms herself again.
"Well, you came to the right place." I joke, yawning a bit.
"Tired?" She asks, and I nod.
"It's past midnight. Wanna continue this tomorrow?" I ask, standing up and stretching.
"Ya. I'm getting tired too." She replies, getting up. "Where can I sleep?"
"I'll show you the spare room." I tell her, walking down the hall.
We reach the door, and I open it for her.
She rolls her suitcase in, then comes and gives me a hug.
It takes me by surprise, but I hug her back.
"I missed you." She whispers, holding on to me tightly.
"I missed you more." I whisper back, kissing her forehead. "I'm glad you moved back here, babe." I add on, and she looks at me with her hazel eyes.
"Are we still friends with benefits?" She asks, our fingers intertwining.
She has the look in her eyes, the look of desperation.
Memories of us come back to me, which makes me happy.
Long walks in the park, going to the movies, cuddling on the couch, and the sweet kisses.
Our relationship felt so wrong, but so right. Going out with your ex-girlfriends best friend is wrong, but it was bound to happen.
"For now." I reply sadly, my love for her growing stronger. "Just until I'm done with you know who."
"Alright. Goodnight Mitchel." She whispers, letting go of me.
"Sweet dreams." I say softly, kissing her forehead again.
"Love you." She says, starting to close her door.
"I love you too, Amber."
(A/N): Sorry this took so damn long! The whole month of July was hard for me, so it's been really hard to focus, but I hope you guys enjoy this.
