-Perrie's POV-
We all sit around in the hospital room, waiting for Jesy to wake up from surgery. The doctor said they had to surgically remove the bullets, because they were in quite deep.
A police officer knocks lightly on the door, and I immediately stand up.
"Did you find her?" I ask, extremely stressed out.
"Yes, we found her. But she passed out from blood loss and from getting tazered for too long and many other things. The doctors say that her brain also went into shock from everything, I'm sorry girls." He explains, taking off his hat.
"Is she going to be okay?" Leigh asks, tears welling up in her eyes.
"She's currently in a coma, and I'll be honest with you. The doctors aren't sure if she's going to recover." The kind officer explains, and I'm suddenly overcome by anxiety.
"Thank you." Jade thanks him, and then he leaves.
I sit back down, rubbing Jesy's arm.
Her fingers start to twitch, and she starts moving a little bit.
She slowly opens her eyes, and looks around.
"What happened?" She asks, looking at me for an answer.
"You got shot three times, Jes. You were in surgery to get the bullets out." I explain to her slowly, stroking her hair.
"I don't feel anything..." She says tiredly, rubbing her eyes.
"The doctors gave you as much morphine they could legally." I explain, laughing a bit.
"Oh... Okay." She whispers, looking extremely tired.
"It's all over, Jes. We can stop running now." Leigh assures her, and Jesy smiles.
She suddenly wakes up a lot more, as if some one had injected her with caffeine.
"Where's Destiny?" She asks, suddenly panicking.
The room falls silent, and Jesy's eyes well up with tears.
Jesy reaches up and presses the button to call down a nurse.
"I need to see her!" She yells, and I'm terrified!
A nurse comes running into the room, a scared look on her face.
"What's wrong Ms. Nelson?" The nurse asks, looking Jesy up and down for the problem.
"I need to see my friend, I really need to." Jesy pleads, sitting up in bed.
"She's just down the hall, room 202." The nurse tells us, and I thank her.
She leaves, and Jesy tries to stand up.
"No! No! Jesy!" I warn, and Leigh pulls the wheelchair they left for Jesy closer to the bed.
Jesy stands up, then starts a limping run with the support of her I.V pole.
"Jade, bring the wheelchair." I say, going after Jesy.
She's already half way down the hall, and I run after her, ignoring the 'No Running' signs.
She bursts into a room, and I realize Leigh and Jade are right beside me.
I push the wheelchair to Jesy, forcing her to sit down.
"No... No... No!" Jesy freaks out, looking at Destiny all beat up and comatose.
A doctor comes in, greeting us in a soft tone.
"What happened?" Jesy asks immediatley, holding Destiny's bruised hand.
"When the police found her she was being tazed, she had a bullet in her leg, multiple bones are broken, and the police officer told me she had rope tied around her neck so that she couldn't breathe. Later we found out her throat was crushed, and that's why she's in a neck brace." The doctor explains, taking some blood from Destiny's arm.
"And there was another young man there to, who had bullet wounds on his thigh and... Crotch area." The doctor adds on, and I have to hold in my laughter.
"If you guys need anything just press the button, I'll be right down the hall." He says, than leaves us with Destiny, closing the door behind him.
"Nice job, Dest. You actually shot Mitchel in the dick... I always knew you threatened it, but I didn't think you'd actually do it. I'm proud of you." Jesy tells the lifeless body that is Destiny, rubbing her palm.
Looking at all the tubes she's hooked up to is a scary sight, but they're keeping her alive.
"I know you can get through this... You can get through anything." Jesy whispers, and she starts crying hard.
I rub her back, trying to comfort her as much as I can.
"It'll be alright Jes, no one can hurt us anymore." Leigh tells her, while Jade is completely silent.
A loud buzz comes on the intercom, getting our attention.
"The visiting hours are now over, it is 7:00pm, please exit the hospital if you are not a visitor. Thank you."
"We'll be back first thing tomorrow, try to get some rest alright." I assure Jesy, and she just nods.
Jade goes to pull the wheelchair back, but Jesy protests.
"No, I'm staying in here with her." She tells us firmly, and I just nod to Jade and Leigh.
"We'll tell the doctor, goodnight Jes." Leigh tells her, giving her a gentle hug.
"Night guys." Jesy replies, and with that we leave the room.
We walk down the silent hall, making our way to the exit.
I see Jesy's doctor, and explain to him what's going on. He seems okay with it, so we continue on our way.
We get outside into the cool air, and Leigh unlocks the van.
We all get in, and I stare out the window as we leave the hospital.
I know they're going to be safe there, but I'm scared that they won't be at the same time.
The ride home is silent, and once the van stops, I stand outside for a bit.
I look down the street, and see that Destiny's Aunt and brothers are back home again.
I go inside, and realize the girls are all in bed already.
I sigh, feeling lonely without them around.
Maybe things will never be the same, or maybe after Destiny and Jesy are out of the hospital it'll all be back to normal.
I head to my room, which seems like a strange place.
I close my door and flop down on the bed.
What Destiny doesn't get out of the hospital? Jesy will be destroyed, actually all of us will.
We've all made a bond with her that seems like something that only happens once in a lifetime.
I hold my pillow close, and let the tears come.
I don't know how to tell her brothers or her Aunt Helen, that family can't stand to lose another loved one.
I get out of bed and open my window, looking out at the stars.
"The sun will come out tomorrow,
So you gotta hang on,
'Til tomorrow come what may,
Tomorrow tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow,
You're only a day away..."
I sing to myself quietly, remembering how I always used to sing that with my mom.
Soon enough I'll see her and my family again, soon enough.
