-Destiny's POV-
The girls and I hold a group hug, all of us tearing up.
"I don't want to leave." Jade sobs, hugging tighter. "I'll miss you guys so much."
"We'll all miss eachother, but we can keep in touch. We will never lose contact." Leigh replies, her voice shaky.
Silence falls, only the sounds of our crying can be heard.
We've been through so much together, I don't know if I'm ready to say goodbye to them.
They saved me from certain death multiple times, and they made sure I was safe. How could I just let them leave?!?
"You guys will come back for visits, right?" I ask, trying to stop crying.
"Of coarse we will!" Perrie answers, wiping her tears.
Finally, we manage to let go of eachother.
"Thank you." I say quietly, a lump forming in my throat.
I balance on my crutches as well as I can, trying to keep myself balanced while I feel so weak.
Jesy helps them with their suitcases, while my Auntie forces me to sit on the couch and rest.
I wipe my tears away, but more keep coming as fast as I can get rid of the last ones.
My Auntie rubs my shoulders softly, knowing I'm still bruised.
Jesy comes back in, her eyes red from crying so much. I don't think I've ever seen any of them cry this much.
She comes to sit beside me, while her parents talk with Aunt Helen, and her siblings entertain the boys.
"I can't believe it's over. All of it." She whispers, leaning her head back.
"Me neither. It's good and bad." I reply, tears still streaming down my cheeks. "No one is after us anymore, but now we have to part our ways."
"Dest, it's time to go." My Aunt calls from the kitchen, and Jesy helps me up.
"See you later, alligator." I joke, cracking a smile.
"In a while, crocodile." Jesy smiles back, hugging me again.
I hug back as best as I can with all the casts around me.
I limp my way out the door, into the cold wind of the night.
My Aunt, my brothers and I start off down the sidewalk, of coarse I need a bit of help.
Cal runs ahead and opens the door for us, a huge smile on his face.
With great difficulty I get into our warm house, and go down the hall to my room.
I turn on the light, where all my belongings are already here, just how I remember it.
My purple and black blanket, the mirror above my dresser, and my family picture on my bedside table.
I close the door, and lean my crutches against the wall.
I use my good leg to drag myself over to my dresser, and pick up my locket.
I get onto my bed, laying down to relax.
I think about what's happened over the past few years, it's seems like so long ago since I first walked into my house and found my parents dead.
Or since the night that the girls found me, just out in the alleyway.
That night I was scared, confused, alone...
Once I figured out they were just trying to protect me, I could've sworn they were angels sent down to help me.
It seems like a lifetime ago when Jesy and I were walking down the gravel road to the center, not knowing if we would make it out alive.
When in reality it was only about four weeks ago.
I manage to get out of my thoughts, and bring myself back to the present.
I open up the small heart shaped locket, and look at the picture of my parents.
I tear up some more, remembering how much I miss and love them.
I wrap both hands around it, bringing it to my chest.
"I did it," I whisper, closing my eyes. "I did it for you guys."
It's finally over... I'm safe again.
