Rue

The aura grew more frightening as time went on. With every minute I felt more scared, and more fear crept up my spine. Watching Jason in this state absolutely haunted me as I sat here, gripping a tree with my life, unsure of what to do.

I watched as he flew further and further from the ground. His body began to grow, and his skin began to whiten. He was more muscular than before and that was evident with his tattoos which were stretching apart with each second.

The wind began to pick up, and the air getting warmer as time went on.

At this point, I had to use my other hand to practically hug the tree; that's how dense the air was becoming.

Within seconds, Jason let out a piercing scream. A scream that could possibly be heard from miles away. That scream shattered the glass of the homes that were only a few yards from us, and it also caused the birds in the trees to fly erratically.

It also caused my heart to fall.

Hunter, who was at one point walking away, had stopped in his tracks. He turned around to face the direction of Jason and then another gruesome smile came across his face.

"What is this we have here?" He inquired. Although he was far away from where we were, I could hear him loud and clear.

"Hunter." Jason's voice echoed across the area. "You will pay for hurting Samuel!"

My breath hitched at how deep and strong his voice has become. A clear contrast to what it was prior.

"I will pay you say?" He snickered. "You must want to suffer the same fate as your friend, don't you Jason."

Hunter darted in our direction then grabbed Jason by the neck in an instant. I watched as Jason struggled to release himself from Hunters grip. I wasn't worried for Jason however. I sensed that he'd be able to fight this. The Jason that I knew a few minutes ago— the cry baby, the weakling, the liability— I didn't sense that anymore.

Jason used his hands to grip Hunters neck and began choking him too. Hunter was caught off guard by the strength Jason held, because he immediately let go of Jason, dropped to the ground, and backed up.

Jason did not give Hunter any time to react, or even think because soon after Jason sped to Hunter and sent him flying down the Forrest with a kick. Jason chased Hunters body as it began flying in the wind.

I need to follow them, I need to see this.

When the wind began to calm, and I was able to safely move, I followed after Jason and Hunter, but remained a distance away.

When I got close enough, I noticed a branch went through Hunters shoulders as he flew across TBE distance and watched as the black fog that normally surrounds Hunter sucked the stake out. His wound healed exceptionally fast.

"Something is different about you." Hunter coughed up blood. "I think this will be an interesting battle."

"Fuck you." Jason spat.

He grabbed Hunters arm and flipped him over on his back and began punching him in the face. Hunter was struggling to fight back. However, he was seemingly enjoying this.

"Jason! If you're fighting him at full strength, you need to calm down!" I shouted in the hopes he'd hear. "Right now he's analyzing your strength! As you fight him, he's only gaining his energy back and he will know how to utilize that against you!"

I've seen this tactic multiple times in the media.
Sometimes the opponent would let the other guy use his full strength against him in order to see how strong their opponent is then they will Utilize that.
