Rue

It's been a week since these strange nightmares have started occurring for me.

Every night, I have dreams that I'm drowning under water, but strangely enough, I'm not dying. I'm just suffocating. I see my mom and everyone I love at the surface of the water, but I see everyone that I lost at the bottom of the water.

I see my grandparents, my dog, my animals, my cousins and aunts who all passed away. I even see my father. But in this dream my father doesn't have a face.

It's like I'm stuck in some type of in-between. I'm not alive in my dreams for sure, but I'm not yet dead.

These dreams have been so repetitive that I'm starting to think it has some sort of significance.

So, I invited my theorist best friend, Lola, over to help me figure out the meaning of these dreams.

"Bitch it's fucking supernatural shit going on with you. I'm telling you there's no other explanation." She took a bite of her blueberry muffin.

"That makes no sense though."

It's been hard trying to hide the fact that vampires are real. Now that my memory is back I remember everything.

Some man came into my house in the middle of the night on Sunday and wiped my memories away . I had a bad reaction to it and ended up passing out Monday night at the karaoke bar. Early Tuesday around 12 a.m Jason, that man, and Hunter were all talking about my blood before Hunter caused me to pass out by showing me his scary ass vampire face.

I was told to forget what happened that night specifically, but it didn't work. I remember everything. I really wanted to speak with Jason about it but I actually haven't seen him since that night and it's making me a bit concerned.

I am very tempted to tell Lola everything but I promised Jason that I wouldn't tell anyone.

"It does. How could you forget an entire weekend with no real reason? You then randomly get these magical bruises that was there and then gone the next day! Then on that same day you all of a sudden remember everything then the bruises are gone?" She pointed at my neck.

"Not to mention last week you passed out after you finished singing. Hunter was the one to take you home. Isn't that weird?"

Hunter? I thought Jason took me home? Hunter was being a sappy bitch all night and he was even rude the first night I met him and wanted to kill me so why would he cater to me.

"I mean Jason only found out about a half an hour later. You left the room and Hunter left like about a minute after you to go 'find a meal' as he stated, and found you on the floor by the women's bathroom." She explained. "He said he took you home already and he has enough shit to deal with then told Jason to go see if you're okay. He also whispered some stuff to him but I don't know what was said."

"Oh." I looked away.

"Hey." She pulled my face towards her and placed her arms on my shoulder. "You're not interested in Hunter are you?"

I choked on my own saliva in shock at what she just said.

"Hunter!" I started to laugh. "That rude bastard! No fucking way."

"Okay good." She smiled to herself.

I noticed her cheeks began turning red. Then eventually her whole face turned red.

"Lola, do you have a crush on him?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. I only saw him once, yet he keeps appearing in my dreams and I think that's causing me to feel a sort of way about him." She blushed. "This is very common with me though. Every time I have a romantic dream about someone I end up finding interest in them. So maybe it's something that'll pass."
