Okay, now for Luke's problematic conversation :P

I walked into the house with Connor following close behind me. By this point, Jake had woken up. I walked into the living room and he was just sat on the sofa, waiting.

'Hey.' I greeted him, smiling.

He stood up and walked over to me, wincing slightly with the pain of his stomach, and hugged me, gently so as not to aggravate his injuries.

I heard Connor walk up the stairs, annoyed.

'Excuse me a minute.' I told Jake. 'But, make sure you stay here, no matter what you hear.'

'Will do.' He said and went and sat back on the sofa.

'Watch what you want on the tv.' I said as I left.

I walked up the stairs and into mine and Connor's shared bedroom, though not for long...

He was on his bed, turned away from me.

'Connor?' I asked, tentatively, not sure on the reception I would get.

'What do you want?' He asked me.

'A chat.' I said, simply.

'Why?'

'Because I'm not sure entirely what's wrong with you and I want to help.' I replied.

'Why would you want to help me?'

'Because. You're my brother. And you mean a lot to me, even though I haven't known you that long.'

'Yet you didn't even tell me what was going on between you and him. And it wasn't like it was nothing to do with me, I mean, this just means you're rejecting me, too.'

'You'll find someone.' I told him. 'I promise you'll find someone who will love you no matter what. Someone who actually deserves you.'

'You act like you don't.'

'Connor, I've hurt Ollie, and now I've hurt you. It wouldn't surprise me if Jake broke my heart because of Karma.'

'Ollie hurt you too.' He commented. 'And I confused the hell out of you.' He shrugged. 'You act like you're some selfish person who doesn't deserve happiness, but in reality you're not. You stood up to 3 guys who were all bigger than you today, when no one was around, to protect one person. If it wasn't for me, Kerry and Ollie you would have gotten beaten up too. You don't exactly see the truth about yourself, and you've got to realise that you're a good person.'

'Maybe now. But I never used to be.'

'You keep saying that but what's passed has passed. You can't dwell on things you can't change. Just look to the future. I guess it's best that you chose him over me anyway. 'Cause either we'd both get dragged down and you wouldn't have a protector, or you'd be dragged into popularity again...' He sighed. 'But right now, all I want to ask is, are you happy?'

'Yes.' I replied. 'Very happy.'

He nodded. 'Then go downstairs and spend some time with him. I'll stay up here with my laptop.'

I laughed. 'Very nerdy of you.' I commented and he smiled. 'Thanks for understanding.'

'Any time. You're my brother. That overrules everything else.'

I nodded. 'I'd better get back to Jake.'

'Okay. If you need me, I'll be in here.'

I smiled and walked out of the bedroom door, closing it behind me, and down the stairs to where Jake was waiting.
