"Oin check her." Thorin barked at the dwarf. He seemed to be the one to know the most about medicine in the company. "No I'm fine." I hissed through my teeth. "No your not lass." Oin said as he took a step toward me. "Look I appreciate the concern but we have bigger problems on our hands." I said. Just then, a horn sounded and a dead orc rolled into the cave. "Elves..." Throin spat the word out like poision as he examined the arrow that was stuck in its chest. He threw the arrow to the ground. "Elves?!? Okay we need to get out of here." I yelped. my chest tightened with fear. I felt a few curious stares on me, includig Thorins. "Oi! Ive found a path! But I cant quite see where it leads! Do we follow it or not?" I heard one of the dwarves call. "Well we follow it of course!" Bofur exclaimed. The company quickly went on the path. My wound screamed in protest every time I moved but I ignored it. We couldnt stay there. If the elves were to see me I would be dead for sure. You see, My kind and the elves were never overly fond of eachother. We shared as much hatred as the dwarves did with the stuck up race. Suddenly I noticed the company had stopped. "Oi! Whats the..." I trailed off as I looked up to see the house of Elrond.. Rivendell... My eyes widened in pure terror and I took a step back. "This was your plan all along wasnt it?!" Thorin sapped at Gandalf "To seek refuge with our enemies!" His tone was dripping with venom. "You have no enemies here! The elves will help us." Gandalf retorted, rolling his eyes at the dwarf. Thorin growled and stormed off to the rest of the company. "Gandal no... I-I can't go in there!" I said. I winced at how scared and pathedic I sounded. "Artrain Your forgetting where we are. These are not the woodland elves. No harm will come to you here." Gandalf said in atempt to calm me. "N-no! You cannot expect me to go in there. You do not know that they wont harm me. I've seen what they do to people like me!" I said. "That was Mirkwood Artrain. And besides, You need someone to look at that wound." Gandalf said, then he walked off ending the conversation. I sighed and silently cursed under my breath as i reluctantly followed the company.

I completely ignored the conversation between Gandalf and the elves. I practically hid behind Kili and Fili. My chest was tight with fear and i felt myself trembling. I was terrified. Kili and Fili both seemed to notice and they both stood a little taller to make sure and hide me from sight. I silently thanked them. Suddenly I heard multiple hooves beating the ground. I took a sharp intake of breath. Suddenly i felt an arm wrap around my waist protectivly as the dwarves formed a circle to have some sort of defense. I looked up to see Thorin. I gave him a weak smile. I noticed Kili and Fili Were still standing in front of me and I hadnt been seen by elves yet. 'Theyre protecting me as if i was one of them..." I thought to myself.
