After what it seems to be the longest drive of my life, Zayn finally stops the car at their house. My hand never left Harry's and my head never left his shoulder. His face turns red when he cries and I suppose that right now his face isn't red because it's hot in here or something. The thought of what had happened to me brings shivers down my spine. I'm going to need therapy for quite a while. But for Harry's sake, I'm going to be an adult in this situation and put the past in the past. I'll make sure the impression I give off on him will be that I'm not scarred by it and that life moves on. Once this blows over, I'm sure that Harry and I will have an argument or so about this and how I need to listen to him more often.
Though right now, Harry is pretty beaten up about this and he's literally crying over me at the moment. I love that he cares this much about me. It's nice to know that someone will do anything for you and Harry, will actually do anything for me. That's why I love him. The police got there fast, but we told them that we just found this place and none of us were victims of the program. I'm just more than grateful that Dally, Soda, Pony and the greaser crew were there to back the guys up. I don't know what would have happened if they weren't there to help.
Niall looks back at me as soon as Zayn turns off the ignition. "You alright?"
Even though he's asked me this about twenty times since we left the scene, I nod in response, including a reassuring smile. "Yeah. Go on ahead. I'll meet ya'll inside."
Liam and Louis slip in front of Harry and I, leaving us alone in the car. "You haven't said one word to me this whole drive, Harry."
Harry's sniffs and then sighs, not even making eye contact with me. His hand is still entwined with mine, but he's not looking at me.
"Harry," I nudge him once more though still, no response.
His eyes finally reach mine but his are extremely red. "The thought that if I hadn't come in one more second, he would have done something horrible to you, will haunt me forever." His lips reach my hand and Harry kisses is lightly.
I smile at him, remembering my pledge to myself. past is in the past. past is in the past. "But he didn't. And that's all thanks to you."
His fingers run through his hair that is now messy. "Bloody hell, Cherry. If we weren't together, none of this would have ever happened. If I hadn't brought you into the dangerous, greaser world, none of this would have happened!" His voice is louder than I expected it to be, but I understand why.
"Are you implying that we should have never dated?" my tone is softer than usual, trying to help him calm down.
He looks at me, eyes getting softer. "It's not your fault, Cher. I'm saying that it's all mine that I got you into this mess."
I sigh, shaking my head, completely disagreeing. "Bullshit, Harry! You didn't bring me into this life, I chose it. I chose it because I love you. And because I love the guys. Don't put this onto you, this is not your fault. It's mine for not listening to you."
"It is my fault, Cherry. I should have watched out for being drugged. It happens all the time at parties," he keeps pushing at the fact that this is all on him. He can't be doing this. Why is he doing this?
