Cherry POV
What just happened? I'm so confused and my mind keeps racing, trying to find explanations to why that just happened.
Was it an accident? Damn. Never in a million years would I have ever thought Harry Styles would kiss me.
But it was hot and different and I want more. I could feel us being pushed together by force. There was no way to avoid a pull like that. I can still taste the peppermint from his pink lips.
We never get along and heck, ten minutes ago he made me cry. Should I tell Amanda? God, I don't know. I really want to skip dinner and hide out here but theres an important presentation and class list that I can't miss out on. I only have half an hour until dinner and I don't know what to do. Just then, Amanda opens the door to my room.
"Are you okay?" she comes over sweetly and wraps her arms around my shoulders. She's always really supportive. That's why she's such a good friend.
"Yeah."
"Did he say sorry?" She asks and I nod.
"Yeah, he did."
"God, cheer up. He didn't mean it and hey, aren't you wearing a super cute outfit tonight?" she grabs my hand back from the floor and zips it open. She grabs the black sparkly dress that I got at the mall with her. It goes up to my mid thigh and the tops cuts low. Its a little tight but its appropiate for this occasion.
I made sure my black heel aren't too high, I don't want people to call me a slut.
"What are you wearing?" I ask Amanda as she heads for the door.
"You'll see." she tells me as she closes the door. I really hope it's not a slutty outfit because Amanda needs to give her teachers a good impression, not bad one.
When I finish applying a little bit of makeup and curling the tips of my red hair, Amanda walks in wearing an appropriate outfit .. thank god. It's a plain knee length blue dress with heels, but not too high. Her hair is curled perfectly like usual. She looks gorgeous.
Through out the presentation, I don't see the guys anywhere. Maybe they ditched? I just got my class schedule. Since I'm going into buisness, everything is based on that. Thankfully, I only have five classes.
Principles of financial accounting, principles managerial accounting, coporate financial management, buissness and public law, and principles of marketing. I really hope none of these classes will be too boring.
I want to go into designing. I haven't really decided on which kind of designing I want to do but hopefully, I'll figure it out soon.
Dinner's starting and I'm barely even hungry. I'm just still shocked about what happened earlier. I don't know why but I want him to kiss me again. I know I shouldn't but I do. I really can't tell anyone though. When we start eating our dinner, I meet a few really sweet girls and a couple of guys sitting at our table. I'm really suprised nobody's snobby like in highschool.
Right then, I see Ponyboy across the room. Soon enough, he sees me and starts coming over to where we are. I don't even notice Sodapop's behind him. When they get to our table Ponyboy comes over to my side and whispers into my ear.
"What went down between you and Harry? Did you get into another fight while he was up in your room? He won't seem to talk to any of us."
"Nothing happened, he just apologized." I lie. I'm glad Harry didn't tell them anything. They all tell eachother everything ALWAYS.
"Oh, " he sits down in an empty seat next to me. Sodapop taps me on the shoulder lightly and I look up at him. God, now? He's so good looking but sadly, I've lost interest in him. It's kind of odd.
"Can I talk to you?" he asks me and I nod slowly as I get up from my seat. He leads me to the entrence of the cafeteria, as i'm walking out I notice Ponyboy and Amanda laughing at something he said.
"Look Cherry," he stops in front of a tree, "I really didn't mean to hurt you at all. I mean it, I meant to stand up for you at the party. I know I screwed up but can you give me another chance."
"Soda, I really had something for you. Yes, you're a very attractive guy but I'm.. just not interested. I'm sorry." I tell him shyly and he sighs.
"Did you find another guy?" he looks at me.
"No."
Yes.
"Was it what I did?" His eyes stay layed on me and I don't respond. I simply look at the ground.
"Please, I didn't mean to." he begs, his eyes searching for an answer.
"We can still be friends." I look up at him. Some slutty blondes walk by us and they stop right behind me, giggling. I can hear one of them
"That's Sodapop Curtis." He doesn't even notice they're trying to flirt. Does he like me that much? I'm so average.
I don't understand.
Right then, Harry walks up the stairs towards the entrance, without saying anything he walks right past us. I wouldn't blame him, I would do the same.
"What's his problem?" Sodapop asks me. Well, obviously I know why.
"Uh, I don't know." I tell him quietly. "So anyways, we can be friends."
He sighs and runs his fingers through his dark hair,"Okay but I just need you to know that I'll always want you to be more than a friend." He says emotionless and walks back into the cafeteria.
Damn, seriously? I don't know, maybe I'll change my mind about him later,Who knows.
