"Are you actually going?" I ask Sodapop as he walks past me and into the bathroom.
"No shit," he gels his hair with grease. "Have you seen the girl?"
"Dude don't mess this up," Johnny comes up behind me and pats Soda on the back. I usually don't come to Soda, Pony and Johnny's house but Johnny wanted boxing lessons and their living room is way bigger than my junk house's.
"I don't plan on it," he ties his tie around his neck. He looks good. Too good.
"What time are you leaving?" I ask him and he sighs.
"Why is Mr. Styles so curious?" He manages to cock one eyebrow.
"Soda, I'm not jealous, I'm fucking someone," I roll my eyes and I lean on the door post.
"Ah, that blonde? What was her name.. Mindy?" He asks me as he runs a comb through his hair
"Yeah, but she thinks I'm her boyfriend and it is so fucking weird." I tell him. She really does, she calls me a lot and stuff like that but I always try to tell her that I'm not. She says she knows and understands but I really don't think she does. Delusional.
"Oh, that's harsh. Hey, I know a cute greaser uh, Libby. She's cute. You want me to set you up?" He asks me while walking out of the bathroom. He's wearing way too much cologne. I wonder if Cherry actually likes Soda, I mean, he's a greaser.
Then again, she doesn't really care. Does she?
"Nah, you know I don't date," I follow him into the living room.
"Neither does she," he giggles. "Alright lads, I have to go, see y'all later." He opens the door and leaves.
"Johnny cake, you ready?" I call him and he comes out of his room. That's our nickname for him, it always has been. Don't ask me how it started, cause I have no idea.
Cherry's POV
When I finish putting on my last bit of makeup, I hear my phone ring. Sodapop's outside. Thankfully I got ready In time. I'm not so fancy, I'm wearing a plain short black dress with black wedges, it's really no big deal. I curled my hair so I wouldn't look too boring.
Thank god my mom is out of town because of she found out that on going on a date with a greaser, she'd kill me. I open the door I find Sodapop wearing the cutest tux, greasers usually don't wear tuxes but this is really cute.
"You look gorgeous, Cherry." He tells me and I blush. He looks so hot and it's really annoying in a way.
"Look at you." I gawk at him. He's so attractive it hurts. He smirks.
"Let's go," he tells me and he walks behind me to his car.
Sodapop looks all cleaned up, he looks different. His hair looks the same though, greasy as always. He opens the car door far me and I smile at him. He's really sweet, maybe he could be the one. The thing is, my moms not going to be to happy. I mean, she knows I'm going on a date but she doesn't know who i'm going with.
"Thanks," I shoot him a shy smile.
"No problem," he starts the engine. This car is actually nice, I would have thought greasers cars would be old and dirty but this is a Honda and it's spotless. Impressive.
"Where are we going?" I turn to him and he grins.
"Well, I want to let you decide, club or dinner?" he asks me and I sigh. I don't know, why is he doing this.
"I don't know, you decide," I tell him. I have a feeling he's going to pick the club but I don't mind.
"Club it is," he smiles and starts to drive.
