"Did he seriously?" Amanda gasps as week keep jogging on the sidewalk.

"I didn't think he would just stand there. I know one thing, I'm never going out with him again," I tell her and she grins.

"So I can have him?" We keep jogging.

"If you want a complete jerk as a boyfriend, then sure," I tell her and she laughs, rolling her head back. Actually, Sodapop is really sweet but he simply fucked up, that's for damn sure.

"Anyway, do you want to do something today?" Amanda asks me as we start walking back towards my house.

"We have a visiting thing at TU today," I tell her and she groans.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. What time do we have to be there?" She asks me.

"Eleven thirty." I remind her.

"You know, Harry, Ponyboy, Sodapop are going too right?"

"What, why?" I try to sound like I don't care but I obviously do.

"They're also going to TU stupid," she mocks me and I playfully smack her on her arm.

"How long is the stay there?" I ask Amanda as we get to my door step.

"It's just from 3:00 this afternoon to tomorrow at one thirty." She says as if it's okay and not such a big deal. I hate staying in places that aren't home.

"Great." I roll my eyes as I walk into my house with Amanda behind me, mocking my attitude.

"So this will be your room," the lady wearing a bucket of make up on her face tells me. Her stilettos click on the floor and it's starting to hurt my ears.

The room is huge. Two twin beds though, I'm starting to like college already. Thank god I don't have to share a room here, I would die. They haven't assigned me one. I hope they won't assign me a roomy later too.

Harry, Sodapop and Ponyboy all must be wicked smart to all get scholarships to be here. This is wicked expensive.

"Thanks," I tell her and she nods as she closes the door. The light shining through the window makes me feel at home. I really like natural light, it's really calming.I wonder what Amanda's room looks like. Is it the same? I'm just glad were in the same building complex, also same floor. I throw my bag on the ground and hop onto the white bed.

Just as I lay down, I hear a knock on the door. I get up to open it and Amanda walks straight in without saying anything.

"Hey, my room looks like this," she sits on the bed.

"Oh," I sit next to her and she pulls out a bag of skittles.

"You brought skittles?" I giggle and grab them from her as I rip the top of the bag open.

"I like candy," she laughs and I take a handful of candy and stuff it in my mouth.

"So, what time do we have to be at the big assembly/ dinner thing?" Amanda asks and I shrug.

"I think the lady said at around five thirty, until then she said we could go explore the campus and meet people." I tell her and she looks happy all of a sudden.

"Let's go find Ponyboy and Sodapop!" she jumps up and down and I cover my face with a pillow.

"Please not Sodapop or Harry," I sit up and she throws a pillow at me.

"Come on! Just because you don't like Sodapop, doesn't mean I don't. And what's up with you and Harry? Do you guys hate each other or something?" she heads for the door and I roll my eyes as I follow her.
