"Hey Mimi, can I ask you something personal?" Maria brushed off some dust that clung onto her white jeans before turning to look at a certain ginger-haired girl. She crossed eyes with Petra who had stopped cleaning, a curious glint adorning her amber-colored eyes.
"That depends on what you want to know." The young woman leaned down on the tip of her broom, her hands supporting her chin on the wooden end. Petra let out a soft huff, closing her eyes for a few seconds.
"Not to be rude or anything, but how come you're still single? I mean I get that we're in the scouting legion and our squad is kind of a big deal, but it isn't uncommon for us to date and get married." Maria blinked at her sudden question, not quite expecting it to come from her fellow comrade.
"Or maybe you do have a lover you're not telling us about." Petra grinned. "D-definitely not." Maria stuttered. Petra puffed out her cheeks as she looked to the side. "Well, that's boring. I thought you at least had some action in your life, besides killing titans of course."
The honey-blonde tried to register what the young female just asked her while she took hold of a rag that had been soaking in now cold soapy water.
Although Petra was a few years younger than the honey-blonde, she hadn't expected her to hit this topic so casually. She never once asked Maria about a lover, and Petra didn't seem to show any interest in men either, even when Oruo seemed to give her all the attention of the world. Perhaps she liked the obnoxious male? Or maybe, she just needed the advice of someone with a little experience, whereas she doubted Petra even knew Maria had been married before joining the scouts. The small woman frowned as she turned to look at her friend anew.
