I gasped as I heard the voice of my father, "What do you want?" Luke asked, wrapping a protective arm around my waist.
Caleb gasped, offended, "Such hostility! I just came to congratulate you on your big night," he chuckled, "not everyone gets to play the Orpheum."
"Enough!" Luke growled, "We know it's your stamp that's hurting us."
Alex tried to calm the room, "We already told you, we have a band and we don't want to join your club."
"You can't make us either!" Reggie chimed in.
"Can't I?" Caleb snapped his fingers and I was standing behind him. I could barley move. "If you want to see her breathing again, I suggest you re-consider my offer."
I felt something go through my entire body. It was painful. It wasn't a jolt like the boys felt, my father had a grip on my soul and he was slowly squeezing the life out of me. I was on the floor. I hadn't put on my ring because I didn't want to lose it during the performance.
"Stop!" Luke was in tears.
"You're hurting her!" Reggie screamed.
"No Reg, he's killing her," Alex was almost in tears as well.
Caleb and Luke start having an intense conversation. I lock eyes with Reg. I point to my finger that usually has my promise ring on it. He nodded and disappeared.
He poofed behind me and Alex noticed. I was still in pain. Reggie put the ring on my finger and it started glowing light blue, absorbing purple from my chest. I felt relief.
"They aren't going to join your club," I said as I stood.
Caleb whipped around and saw my ring. "Oh they will..." He snapped his fingers and we were backstage of the Hollywood Ghost Club. The guys were all in suits and I was in a dress that complimented my curves. "Well don't you look nice?"
"Sweet threads," Reggie said looking at me.
"How did you know our sizes?" Alex asked.
"That's your question?" Luke adjusted his collar so it wasn't so tight.
"I know you boys aren't my biggest fans. And an eternity at my club might seem overwhelming. But... I just put you in sweet threads, so humor me this one last pitch. Now, for starters, isn't it nice that you're all here together? And believe me, everything you want, including Willie and my daughter, is here. And on my stage, you don't vanish when the music stops. You soak in the applause for as long as you want. The connection that you will feel with that audience will be like no other... I promise," he was adjusting Luke's collar back when the crowd cheered. "Oh! Shh. Do you hear that? They're waiting for you!"
Alex and Reggie got jolts. "Oh! That one looked like it hurt. Now, let me remind you, you don't know if playing the Orpheum is your unfinished business. Do you really have time to make that mistake? I suggest you accept my offer, because the clock is ticking."
Alex and Reggie groaned because they were zapped again.
After the guys were poofed onstage, I realized Caleb had no control over me, so I started dancing onto the stage and I touched Luke. He was able to control himself. I danced over to Reggie and patted him on the shoulder. I sneaked back and placed a hand on Alex's back.
They all poof away and I focus on them. I all of a sudden am standing right next to them. I had teleported myself. I looked around and they were staring at a couch. We were in a dark alley and there were posters all up behind the couch.
It hit me, "This is where you guys..." I couldn't finish that sentence. It hurt them too much and I couldn't stand to be the one who caused that pain.
I was standing behind Luke, looking over his shoulder, when he quickly turned around and pulled me into a hug. He held me tight and I could feel the tears on my shoulder. I reached up and put my fingers on is soft hair.
I looked at my watch. "Guys! We need to go, like now!"
Alex nodded and poofed away first, then followed by Reggie, I was about to do the same before Luke grabbed my wrist. "I don't want to lose them, I love you and Julie, but that hole will never be filled. Then again, I know that I couldn't live without you, so I'm torn."
I had tears stinging my eyes, "Luke, I love you so much," I grabbed both of his hands, "but these guys are your family and I would never make you choose. No matter what you decide to do, I will support you until the end."
A single tear fell down his face. He had already made up his mind. I realized, but I held it together. He grabbed my hand, "Come on, let's go rock!"
Julie and I took a bow, the guys where gone. The love of my life was gone. My bestfriend was gone. My big brother was gone. Julie and I hugged. We walked backstage and talked to Brendon before he went on. Any other day I would be freaking out, but I just lost most of my family.
I love Panic! At The Disco! but I needed some air. I walked out of the side door. Flynn and Julie noticed, but I didn't care. I walked until I was on Sunset Boulevard.
I didn't see that bus coming. How could I? I was looking down and crying because I had lost the people that meant the most to me. Next thing I know, I heard screams. They weren't my own. They were Flynn and Julie's.
They rushed over to me and I could see them, but I couldn't speak or move. I was in so much pain. Julie told Flynn to go get my mom. Flynn ran back towards the building while Julie dragged me to the side and hugged me in her arms.
She pressed her phone to her ear and had so many tears flowing. "Hi my name is Julie Molina, my friend was just hit by a bus in front of the Orpheum on Sunset," she paused. "Her name is Y/N Y/L/N, there's a lot of blood and she's barley breathing," she paused again. "Please hurry!" then she hung up.
I heard screams again, this time they were from my mother and Tia. Carlos buried his face in Ray's stomach while Ray covered his mouth. My mom rushed over to me and hugged me tight. She wanted me to wake up so bad.
Finally, the pain was gone. I took a deep breath and I was no longer in my body. I could see everyone crying. The ambulance arrived, but they covered my body with a black sheet. I was just pronounced dead.
So this is the dark room the guys were talking about?
