They all died today.

Except me.

"It's ok my little sweetheart!" My grandma says, with her perfect teeth faking a "comfort-smile." But behind her smile I notice her perfect blue eyes are watering up.

"Grandma?" I asked with my voice cracking, due to all my screaming and crying.

"Yes, my dear?" she replied back trying to stay strong.

"Where will I live, what will I do, where do I go?" I start to tremble as I begin to realize that I have not where to go.

"That my dear, is what you should be asking yourself." How can I answer those questions? I'm 13. She's supposed to be there for me. She was never there for my mom but once I was born she came back into our lives. She has struggled a lot in life but she put herself together for our family. But now it's all gone.

"But-" I wanted to know how, but I was cut off by a police officer.

"Young lady, may I ask you several questions about the accident? Possibly at the station, if you could." This man was tall, about 6 and a half feet tall, brown hair, green eyes, and the clearest face I have possibly ever seen. I assume he looks to be around 30.

"Umm...sure," I answer back, trying to defy the tears. "Grandma I'm going to the police station to be asked some questions, I will be home before supper." It was a warm September noon here in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Sunny and 75.

"Absolutely, my dear, if you need anything I will be at home. Just call."

"Okay," I respond.

"Oh, and Katelyn?" She calls to me.

I turn around to look at her. "Yes, Grandma?"

"Happy Birthday."
