Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.
"Shut the frickìn monitor off!" I yell waking up to beeps. The beeps go faster. I snarle.
"Good morning to you too sunshine," I look over. Cade's mom, dad, and him self were sitting in my room. Pancakes with peanut butter and syrup sat on a tray next to my bed on a table. Pancakes and peanut butter are my favorite!
"Oh sorry. It's not really pleasant waking up to beeping noises that drive you bonkers," the dream from the other night was still fresh in my mind.
"We will let both of you talk quick, would you like us in here or no?" Cade's mom asked. I looked over at Cade, he nodded his head I nodded back.
"Please stay mom. We might need your help," he got me.
"Alright honey. So Katelyn did you think about where you would like to stay over the course of nine long months?" Both Cade and his father look at me very closely.
"I was thinking with you guys, if you don't mind... With July and Eli. Cade will need Eli and I will need July," both of them relax.
"That sounds great to me," said Cade.
"Alright you will stay with us. Katelyn, I know you still have time, but you know weather you might want to keep the baby or not?" This is the first I have heard Cade's dad talk this whole time since my party night.
"I was thinking of-" I was cut off by Cade.
"Can you guys leave us alone for a couple minutes?" His mom and dad look at eachother, and agree. They get up and walk out. "Please tell me you want to keep the baby. I was thinking last night, and once we are in college we can maybe stay close to ho,e for the first year then transfer to a school we both want to go to." How bad did he want this kid? I asked myself.
"Cade, I couldn't miss raising a child for the world. I may be fourteen and you may be fifteen, but we are very responsible, I think we can do this. I would like to keep it," he was so excited he come over and hugged me tight untill he remembered I was pregnant. He immediately let go and mumbled a sorry. "It's fine. It only causes like a ton of pain, don't worry." His happiness went away. I forgot he thought it was all his fault, I sat up. "Have a seat please." I told him. He pulled a chair up, and sat down. "Your mom informed me that you believe this is all your fault. Promise me, it's not. I should have told you, but I didn't. Dan is the one who forced us to even do it. None of it was your fault. Please don't think it is your fault it makes me feel upset that you think that," he wouldn't want to hurt the baby, and this was an easy way of not letting him.
"I understand. I was just going hard on my self. It was all Dan's fault not mine. By the way, did some research last night on morning sickness, you may be home from school a lot. It's supposed to feel like-" this time I cut him off.
"Please don't tell me, I will only fret more," he stopped talking. Something popped in his head, and he got up. He went by a chair, reached his hand down, and pulled up a gift bag. Casually he held his hand out. My hands had peanut butter on them, I quick licked them off, and wiped them on a napkin. I took the present from him and opened it. Inside was a pretty card that read: Love you from the moon and back. Underneath the card was a silver moon. I gasp. "It's beautiful... I'm speechless."
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," we sat there talking for a while about what not to do when pregnant and what to do. After about an hour or so later Cade's parents re-entered the room, but with the doctor this time.
"I'm dismissing you early. You're free to leave Katelyn," Doctor Wilert was my new favorite doctor. I sigh in relief, and start to get up. Once one foot was on the ground Cade rushed over to my side to help me out.
