Today it is September 16th, it's been a year since the accident of my family. July has moved in with Grandma, and me. Ranessmae moved into a house down the street with her husband, Josh. My grandma got me an iPhone 6, I bought a trampoline like my mother wanted me to do. The trampoline is huge! Good thing is too,I'm on the trampoline constantly. July and Claire went through all the court stuff, and now live with us, and my grandma and Ranessmae are their guardians. Claire and July now have my room. Grandma Anne still has the guest room upstairs, and I've got my parents' old room in the basement. We moved all of my junk down there, so it's officialy my room now. Claire is now eight years old, July is fourteen, and I'm turning fourteen today.
Everyday we switch off who makes meals, and the lunches for school. I make them Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays I help Claire. July does the meals Wednesdays, Thursdays, and helps Claire Saturdays. On Sunday we split them up. July breakfast, Claire lunch, and me, I'm stuck with dinner. Today is a Saturday, but since it's my birthday we are all going shopping for food, and all of us will be cooking meals. Chores are the same days you make meals. Today all of us will be cleaning and hanging up decorations like crazy. July and Claire's are upstairs. Our house is three stories tall, and has a lot more room. During the summer we had our house expanded on. The expansion added batting cages, an indoor swimming pool with a diving board and slide, and finally...indoor softball and football fields. Apperently my parents really were extremely rich, because all this money paid for it, and I've still got a ton of money left.
"Let's go Claire! Geez! No time to waste we have five hours to set up for the night!" The whole entire eighth grade is coming, and some people's siblings that are Claire's age are coming. I wasn't going to get dressed until the party was closer because it is a Best Dressed party. July and I for once aren't going to match! Claire was still eating, but luckily dressed, we told her she could take it with us in the car, and she did. Ranessmae's drove her Dodge Charger to Party City. "So we need party plates, cups, plastic silverware, balloons, streamers, party bags, piñata, candy, cake, snacks, disco ball, music, and best of all...a boom box!" July told us, reading off of her notes on her iPhone.
"How are you planning to pay for all of this exactly?" My sister, Ranessmae, asked.
"My credit card," I told her. The search was on. First we went over to the plates. We got two hundred rainbow plates, cups, forks, spoons, and knifes. Once those were set, we were off to balloons and streamers. We got red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink streamers, and glow in the dark balloons that read: Happy 14th Birthday! Next isle was the piñata section. We looked for a while when I saw it, it lit up like the tree on National Lampoons: Christmas Vacation. It was a round disco-ball-looking piñata. I obviously got it. For goody bags we got see through bags with colors splattered all over. Candy was next on the list. There was so much to choose from, so we got all over it two hundred Snicker, Butterfingers, Kit Kats, Resses, Hershey's chocolate, Oreos, marshmallows, Three Musketeers, and Baby Ruth's. After all that was in our over-flowing cart, we headed over to the entertainment section. Electrionics everywhere! We ended up getting a karaoke machine, huge boom box, a real disco ball for where our batting cages net hang, new pop CDs, new Country CDs, and slow song CD. Snacks were easy. Salsa, all the kind of chips in the world, cheese spread, crackers, cupcakes, cookies, kool aid, tons of Coke products, and tons of other sweets. Few days ago I ordered a triple layered cake with colorful frosting splattered all over white frosting. Once I paid for all of this with my credit card, we headed home. There was a truck in the driveway.
"Can we help you?" Ray asked the man standing in front of the front door.
"I'm here to deliver the chocolate fountain ordered by," he looks down at his brown clip board, "Katelyn."
"That's me!" I shreik, and run over to the fabulous white, shiny new fountain. "Where's the chocolate?"
"In that bag over there," he points to the front door where a white bag, with the word chocolate printed on it, sat. Oh. My. God. That was like fourty pounds of chocolate! I run over to the bag and hug it like a teddy bear. The guy set up the chocolate fountain on our white table with a rainbow splattered table cover. We hung the disco ball up on one of the hooks you use to hang up the net for the batting cages. The piñata, after being stuffed with candy, was hung in the corner by a thick rope. Everyone helped set the snacks up and clean the house. It was a hard day. Evenly dividing candy into one hundred eighty six goodie bags is no fun! Finally it was 5:30, the pizza arrived, I paid the short blond guy one hundred fifty dollars for all the pizzas. After those were put on the table I went to get dressed.
