"You've got a bit of chocolate on your face."

Taehyung flushed, bringing up his napkin to blindly try to wipe it away. It had to have been there for at least 10 minutes, as he finished his half (Jungkook's half eaten half was wrapped neatly and set to the end of the table) over 10 minutes ago.

"No-You're missing it," Yoongi laughed, shaking his head, "C'mere."

He leaned forward with a pout, semi embarrassed but mostly just finding it funny himself.

Yoongi was gentle, loosely holding the left side of his face while quickly dabbing at the offending chocolate.

Taehyung felt the elder's (he had learned that Yoongi was 27, while he was only 24) hands linger over his lips for a few seconds, but pulled back before Taehyung could think about it too much.

"There, all better."

There was something about Yoongi that was simultaneously comforting and off-putting.

His voice was soothing and wonderful to listen to, he was kind and his smile radiated warmth.

But he was too nice, wasn't he? He didn't seem like a people person, from the way he shifted uncomfortably whenever someone walked by them as they entered the café, so what made him actually talk to Taehyung?

He stared often, something Taehyung didn't really mind, he might just like to solely focus on the person he was talking to. Hoseok was like that, he tried to only look at the thing he was supposed to be concentrating on. But if felt..different then that. He didn't quite know how to put it.

Plus, Yoongi hadn't ordered anything. He'd just sat and started talking.

Then again, maybe Taehyung was just overthinking. He'd known Yoongi for all of 20 minutes, he couldn't judge him yet. Maybe they'd have to hang out more, for him to figure Yoongi out.

"Thank you Hyung." Taehyung gave him a small smile, fiddling with his fingers. He was unsure of how to tell Yoongi he had to leave, as he was getting anxious and kept getting random flashes of Jimin. Jimin used to bring him to places like this a lot. Jimin used to wipe his face and giggle at him and-

He took a deep breath. "I should get going Hyung. It was wonderful to meet you."

"It certainly was. I'd like to see more of you, if that's alright. I don't think you have my number," Taehyung flashed him a sheepish smile, one that he returned with his own, before he continued, "So this time I'll ask for yours."

"Yeah, sure." He only hesitated for a second. If he didn't want to meet up with Yoongi, he didn't have to. Giving him his number wouldn't hurt, especially when he could block the elder if something ever was to happen.

He recited his number before he scooped up Jungkook's muffin and headed out the door with a wave of his hand, grinning when Yoongi waved enthusiastically back.

Through a few texts, he let Jungkook know that he was heading home and had saved his muffin, and that the younger was welcome any time to come grab it.

The walk home was pretty uneventful, if he didn't count the whistle aimed at him when he picked up his phone after he dropped it. He didn't even bother to turn around, he just marched forward with a red face (mostly from anger, some from embarrassment) and kept fumbling with his phone.

He was expecting to head home and slip into some comfy clothes and maybe watch a movie or two.

He wasn't expecting for a random package to be on his doorstep, not when he hadn't ordered anything in just about 2 years.

There was no...anything on it. No return address, no shipping details, no name, nothing.

He didn't really want to open it, as it could've been for somebody else, but he was curious.

The scissors he had grabbed to cut the tape were dull, but he made them work. He flipped open the cardboard and stilled.

At least he knew the package was definitely for him.

He let out an disbelieving laugh, slightly maniacal, staring wide eyed at the contents in the box.

The first thing he had noticed were the pictures.

Pictures of him. Walking to the park. On his porch. There was one that was clearly taken from outside his house, one where he could be seen crying on his couch, a small picture frame in his hand.

What the fuck.

He shakily put them aside and picked up the letter, the small piece of paper he had noticed second.

My Taehyungie,

It's taken me almost a year to do this, though I don't know why.

You'll probably be freaked out, and scared. That's okay.

You'll be receiving lots of these packages from now on, so don't be surprised when they show up. They'll always be from me.

I'm not quite sure what to say, so I'll end it here.

See you soon, Taehyungie.

What. The. Fuck.

He dropped the letter and one hand came up to cover his mouth, to stop the sob that ripped through him.

He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. Hands shaking, he reached inside the box and picked up the soft feeling hoodie that had been neatly folded and tucked inside.

A small post-it note fell off of it:

I'd like to see you wear this, don't disappoint me.

What. The. Fuck.

He fumbled for his phone and dialed Jungkook as quick as he could. He had been desperately trying not to let the tears fall, but he lost the battle as Jungkook didn't answer.

He called again and again and again, until he picked up.

"Taehyung, I'm sorry but I'm really bu-"

Taehyung was hysterical, sobbing and mumbling out incoherent words over the phone. He only could push out a few understandable words, "Jungkook, Jungkook I-I don-don't know-Jungkook help-"

He didn't remember much after that.

He remembered falling to his knees in the kitchen.

He remembered dropping his phone and hearing the loud crack as it made contact with the wooden floor.

He thought he remembered Jungkook trying to calm him down, but he wasn't sure.

It was blank after that. As soon as he slumped backwards and his back hit the kitchen cabinets, he was out cold.
