Y/n grunted after seeing his reply and lazily dragged herself off her comfy bed. Her squinted eyes widen as soon as she saw his shadowy figure outside her balcony. " Is he for real?! " she jumped off the bed but quickly tip-toed to the door, sliding it open.
" Hey, sleeping beauty. " he greeted her casually. She frowned.
" I thought you were joking about being outside. " she whispered loud enough for only him to hear. He grinned. That face was tainted with mellow yet radiant moonlight, making her heart beats faster than usual. She looked away to shake off the feelings.
" I do joke but I meant what I said. " he leaned against the balcony enjoying the view. Y/n too, joined him embracing the beauty of nature, forgetting her slight anger of him waking her up from her deep sleep. The sky was a billion pure eyes of light as if night and day had become one beautiful moment. Dawn had come.
" So pretty. " she sighed dreamily, slightly leaned on his shoulder.
" It is. " he answered short. A few moments later, he shot up straight and stretched his hands upwards revealing a sight of his toned abs. Y/n can't help herself but to stare straight into his abs. He saw where her eyes were looking at and chuckled.
" Caught your eyes, huh? " immediately she sent him a boring glare.
" Well, quite toned. Of course, every girls in school would be dying to see them. " she teased
" Wha-- "
" Enough. Go back to your room, Kou. We have school in one hour." she walked back inside her room without waiting for his answer, but she definitely can hear his mumbles.
" Okie, princess. We'll walk together to school today. " she turned around to argue but only to see him jumping back to his balcony. Geez, he sure is an owl.
Yes, Bokuto has been doing that since they got closer. Whenever he can't sleep or wanting to watch the sunrise with her, he would jump to her balcony and wake her up. She don't really mind him doing that because she knew she can't stop him. She just glad that both of her parents and her younger brother doesn't mind when it comes to Bokuto antics.
Timeskip ( at Y/n's home, 6:50am )
" Good morning, y/n. Breakfast on the table.Sorry, I can't wait to have breakfast with you. Emergency calls so I need to leave now. " y/n's mum kissed her forehead and rushed towards the door, struggling to wear her shoes. It's normal to see her parents rush to work and came home late.
" Okay, be careful on your way, mum. "
Her mum paused for a moment before turning to face her and hugged her tight. " Awwww, good luck for school, sweetie!" she pulled away and took in her briefcase. " Is Kou-kun walking you to school? " she asked.
" Mum, he's not my babysitter. " y/n pouted which made her mum giggled.
" Aww sweetie, he is your best friend isn't he? He would make a cute boyfriend~ " y/n's mum left the house without waiting for her answer. For sure, she knows her mum really loves to tease her a lot.
" MUM! Omg, no! " she scoffed, waving her hands dismissively. Well, that's how she is...
" Oh, before I forget, there's a letter for you inside the drawer! "
" Eh? From who? "
She shrugged. " I don't know. There's no sender details on it. Bye, y/n! Love you~ " and with that she drove away.
Y/n looked inside the drawer by the shoe rack and took the letter her mum mentioned. She scanned through the writings on the letter. Huh, why does this writing looks familiar? She decided not to read the letter until after school. Y/n shoved the letter into her bag and went to the kitchen for breakfast.
Time skip ( Fukurodani Academy, 7:40am)
Y/n's walk with Bokuto took quite a long time for them to reach school. She scoffed in disbelief when he walked off to the gym for his morning practices and left her behind. Knowing that she was late , she decided to sprint to the hall. She avoided as many obstacles as possible but things went unexpectedly mean to her which she ended up bumping into a person. Both of them fell on the ground, affected by the momentum.
" Oww... " they grunted in pain. She rubbed the pain that stings on her nose. Realising it was her fault, she wanted to apologise to the person she bumped into. Y/n bowed, " I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you. I was late for the welcome ceremony and-- " just as she tilted her head up to see the person in front of her, her eyes were locked into his beautiful sapphire orbs. She was stunned.
" Don't worry. Are you okay? " the boy in front of her remained calm, not as she was expecting for him to yell or scream at her silly mistake. Seeing no response he got from her, he chuckled a bit and waved his hand in front of her face. " Earth to Miss Bumper Car. "
Y/n snapped back to reality and shook her head. " I, what? " The boy chuckled. He stood up straight and held out his hand to help her up. She was reluctant but took his hand in and stood up, still trying to process what has happened.
The boy took a glance on her wrist watch before his facial expression changed. " Oh shoot, we are late! You're going to the hall too, right? "
" Uh, ye--" before she could answer him, he grabbed her wrist and started to run. " Woahhh! " yes, she was practically dragged by him. They sprinted as fast as they could. Ignoring the looks of the students around them. Once the both of them reached the class, two classmates appeared and welcoming them.
" Ara, did you both ran all the way here? " the girl with the short brown hair with matching eye color patted y/n's back with concern.
" Don't worry, there's still 15 more minutes to go. " another girl with tan coloured hair greeted with a chuckle. Y/n and the boy took a moment to pant before nodding to their classmates and entered the classroom.
" By the way, I'm Akaashi Keiji. You are? " the boy asked y/n. Akaashi Keiji. What a nice name.
" I'm y/n l/n. Nice to meet you Akaashi-san. " she smiled to him. " Oh, and uh-- I'm sorry about earlier. " she rubbed the back of her neck, feeling embarrased for what happened earlier. Akaashi waved his hand dismissively.
His lips curled up into a small smile. " Anyway, just Akaashi. Drop the honorifics. I don't want to have any gaps since we're in the same year. It's okay. Accidents happened.
" Oh, okay. Sure. "
But what if I said I accidentally fall in love with you? Her mind was racing.
