Y/n locked herself in her room after she came back from the hospital. She was stupefied after hearing the revelations from Dr.Shiroi. She hugged her knees to comfort herself. Her heart was shattered. She was disoriented by Dr. Shiroi's words.

Should I trust Dr. Shiroi? Every single detail he told me-- hurts me. Keiji... She started to sob. Why, Keiji? Just why? What did he ever do wrong? I thought we're friends. Why would you do that?  Hot tears fell down her soft cheeks. Y/n doesn't know what to do anymore. Her mind was muddled. Every fragments of her memories with Akaashi and Bokuto somehow turned pitch black.

What is happening... to us?

Y/n sniffled as she lied down on her bed, closing her eyes. She wanted to forget everything. She wanted to restart everything. If only she could turn back time, she would fix everything and she wouldn't make the same mistake. Her biggest regret was haunting her.

Time skip (School, 4:30 pm)

Volleyball practice wasn't the same. Everyone realised how quiet Bokuto was throughout the practice. He wasn't as loud as he always do. He answered shortly to every questions he got. He didn't even defend himself from being scolded by Coach Yamiji for his lack of focus. Coach Yamiji too, noticed his change. He knew that this wasn't Bokuto's normal emo-mode. It was different. This was because the two loud owls, y/n and Bokuto, were quiet.

Coach Yamiji called Bokuto and y/n to stay behind after the practice. Both of them stood quietly in front of Coach Yamiji. Coach Yamiji sat down on the bench and patted on the seat beside him.

" Sit. Both of you. " Y/n sat on the left while Bokuto was on the right. Coach Yamiji was known for his fatherly figure. The whole volleyball team was like a family to him. He would treat them like his own children. He would scold them if they did wrong and would give them advices whenever they needed them.

" Would you mind telling me what happened? You guys were unlike this. " his concerned tone made Bokuto and y/n felt guilty. " Did you guys have a fight or something? " the two students shook their heads. Coach Yamiji paused for a moment to think. " Was it about Akaashi? " he saw his two students hung their heads lower as he mentioned about Akaashi. He hit the right target.

He stood up and sighed. Receiving no answers from his students, he decided to give them some space. " You can tell me whenever you feel comfortable, I don't mind. " he patted y/n's and Bokuto's shoulders before he turned to leave. Bokuto and y/n looked into each other before they nodded in agreement to tell their coach about the whole story.

" Coach Yamiji, wait! " Y/n stopped him from leaving the gym. " We'll tell you. Just... please keep it between the three of us only. " Coach Yamiji nodded. He walked back to the bench, had his students sat on his sides and they began to tell him everything.

Meanwhile (At the hospital, Akaashi's room, 4:30pm)

Akaashi folded his last shirt before placing it inside his bag. He was discharged from the hospital. He slowly zipped the bag and let out a small sigh. No one was there to pick him up. His eyes were on the bag but his mind was elsewhere. Is this it?

" No matter how much painful the truth is, you need to learn to accept it, Akaashi. "  Bokuto's words were still haunting him. The truth will finally be revealed. He let out a weak chuckle. I was careless. I was so stupid. I was devoured by jealousy. I chose anguish over my friends.

A drop of tear landed on the bag lied in front of him. He gripped the strap tight. He dropped on his knees. Akaashi tried to calm himself down by controlling his breath but he felt a lump in his throat that made him choked. He started to sob. He felt so wrong about everything.

I want to change my fate. I want to change my destiny. If I was given another chance, I want to fix everything. He let out another sad chuckle. Pitying himself. Will I be given another chance? I used up my chance, yet I chose the wrong path. I was supposed to fix it. Not to wreck it over and over again. I'm not strong. I'm not strong enough for this.

Akaashi inhaled deep then exhaled. Once he felt calmer, he wiped his tears and stood up. He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked towards the exit. He turned back to give one last glance before he left the room and shut the door close. Unexpectedly, he saw a familiar figure was leaning against the wall right outside of his room.

" Ikki? " Akaashi was surprised to see Ikki there. " What are you doing here?" he asked politely. Ikki stood up straight and walked towards Akaashi. He stopped a few steps before Akaashi. Ikki shoved his hands in his hoodie and shrugged.

" Was planning to visit you but I heard you were discharged today. " Akaashi nodded weakly. Deep inside, he was moved by Ikki's kindness to be there for him. " Since you're ready, why not we head to my house since it's nearby? " Ikki flashed him a soft smile, melting Akaashi's heart more.

" I don't mind if you're okay with having me there. " Akaashi said humbly. Ikki snickered. He flashed Akaashi a genuine sweet smile as he laced his arm with Akaashi like a little brother.

" Of course, I don't. You're my friend too after all. Now stop being a sober and let's get moving." Ikki dragged Akaashi and they started walking. Akaashi bit his lip as he tried to hold back from crying again. Ikki was treating him too kindly. Akaashi felt very culpable. They both walked side by side in a comfortable silence. Ikki noticed how quiet Akaashi was and he tried to break the silence between them.

" Say, Akaashi-san. Do you love my sister? "Akaashi's heart pounded vigorously after Ikki asked him a serious question but in a very casual way. Akaashi admitted that he admired Ikki for his bright personality but Ikki would sometimes be a pain whenever he shot a straightforward question to anyone. Cold sweats began to drop from his forehead.

" I-- I do love, y/n. Why do you ask, Ikki? " Ikki stopped on his track. He turned to Akaashi with a cold stare that Akaashi has never seen before. Akaashi felt a lump in his throat and he gulped silently. Ikki observed Akaashi's nervous body language.

" Hmm. Just asking. " his tone was different. He turned his back to Akaashi and looked up to the orange-tainted sky. " Do you really love her? " Akaashi began to feel uneasy. He fiddled his fingers. He doesn't want to make another wrong choice. He wanted to fix everything. He can't run away anymore. He needs to face the consequences from his mistakes.

" I love y/n so much. I-- I don't know how to tell her my feelings. I really want her to know how much I loved her. " Ikki's huff made Akaashi snapped back to reality. He was more edgy than ever. His mind was expecting any kinds of possibilities including the unexpected. Ikki sent him a dark glare. He stepped closer to Akaashi and stared right into Akaashi's sapphire orbs. He was trying to control himself from the desire to punch Akaashi right into his face.

" Well then. What makes you think by hurting people around her will make her fall in love with you? " Akaashi's eyes widened. He was stunned by the fact that Ikki knew what he did. Ikki smirked. Someone has caught red-handed.

DONG... The very same sound chimed in his ears, struck again. No, not again. Please no! His heart was pleading.
