Y/n was bored staying at home with nothing to do. Her parents were working and her brother, Ikki, went out with his friends to practice volleyball. Ikki joined the volleyball club of his middle school since he was in the first year. Volleyball is his passion. He would talk with Bokuto about volleyball a lot. From serving to spiking. From receiving to setting, you name it.
Y/n decided to text Akaashi about the math project they've been paired up. It was a happy moment for her.
*Flashback*
Y/n's class was a bit noisy since there was no teacher around. The class representative went out to look for the sub teacher. Her table mate, Ichika, was busy doodling her sketchbook. Too busy to talk to y/n. Y/n sighed. She turned to Akaashi, who was actually staring at her from behind. The two of them locked eyes for a moment, just like when the first time she bumped into him. Y/n and Akaashi let out a small chuckle at the same time.
" Ichika was ignoring you, I guess? "
Her eyes widened by his statement before she let out a nervous laugh. " Well, sort of. "
" L/n, wanna come to the gym to see us practice later? "
Wait, did he invited me to see him practice volleyball?
"Oh, uh-- sure! I don't think I have any club activities later." she started to fiddle her fingers.
Akaashi saw her behaviour and gave her his most genuine smile which made her heart fluttered. " Cool. I'll see you there. " A tint of pink hue rose from her cheeks. Akaashi saw it. He averted his gaze away and rested his chin on his palm, covering his smiling lips.
" All right students, settle down. I'm sorry for being late. No more wasting your time, I'll be dividing you into pairs for your mid-term project. " Ms.Uehara, the maths teacher rushed into the classroom and went straight to divide the students. All of the students went back to their seats and whispered to each other, felt eager to know who will be their partner. Y/n heard some of the female students whispered that they wanted to be paired up with Akaashi. She sighed. At that moment, she doesn't mind being paired up with anyone since she doesn't want to listen to any of the dirty talks if she was paired up with Akaashi.
" Y/n l/n paired with Akaashi Keiji... " Ms. Uehara continued calling out names. Y/n felt her heart skipped a beat she heard her being paired up with her first crush, Akaashi Keiji. She screamed internally, fangirling over him and there's another side of her felt proud for having Akaashi not anyone else.
Ha! Take that, suckers! Akaashi is mine! She screamed out towards Akaashi's fangirls, internally of course. Without realising, her lips curled up into a triumphant smile. Akaashi saw her reactions, let out a small chuckle.
Is she really that happy being paired up with me? He thought.
*Flashback ended*
Y/n rapidly tapped on her phone, texting Akaashi.... then deleted them.
No, no, no I can't be too obvious showing him that I'm dying of happiness to be his partner... Think y/n, think.. Ah--
She took a deep breath before starting to type again.
