Elena walked into the grill she was out of school on leave she had Evies Carseat in her arm. She had come to pick up food for her and her mom when she seen Layla and Hope trying to ask people questions but she could tell they clearly weren't getting the answers they wanted. She walked over to the two knowing she was one of the only ones that liked them. Since people didn't like them at their new school because they didn't know them.
"Layla Hope."
The girls looked at her and ran over they were happy to find her. They knew she was going to need to know about this to. " Elena have you talked to Kol today."
"No i was to focused on Evie why?"
"Our dad died last night Kol texted me i tried to call him but he isnt answering"
"What?" Elena croaked she took her phone out and called her boyfriend but he didn't answer. She hadn't talked to him all day figuring that he was going to be busy with school. He had also been grabbing packets for her and taking notes to make sure that she didn't fall behind while on leave with Evie. "Let's go were going to the manor."

Elena walked in carrying Evie she seen Esther on the phone she could just tell by the vibe in the house that no one was ok. "Just get us a day for the funeral soon." She looked at the three they could tell she had been crying. But Esther knew right now her son needed Elena."Elena he's upstairs he needs you to right now."Elena nodded setting the car seat down and taking her daughter out of it she headed upstairs. She walked into his room closing the door behind her. She seen him sitting on the floor crying. She had never seen him like this she knew he was good at hiding his feelings and he didn't deserve to be alone right now none of them did. She went and sat next to him putting Evie on her lap. She knew that Evie didn't understand she was still too young. "I'm here for you?"
"My mother screamed this morning he wouldn't wake up the first thing i did was text Layla and then as the Paramedics carried him out in a body bag everything became real." Kol had known that his dad was going to die they had all been preparing for it but now that it had happened it was real.
Elena put her arm around him hugging him she hated that he was going through this. She wanted to make sure that he knew he was not alone and she was going to be here for him. Evie laid on her dad's lap now laying across both of her parents. "Please don't shut me out."
"Never darling." He could never imagine shutting her out he loved her to much for that.
"I'm here for you. I love you and we are going to be here with you no matter what." She had never told him that she loved him but she needed him to know that no matter what happened she was going to here for him that she wasn't going anywhere.
"I love you too."
"Layla and Hope are worried about you guys their downstairs they were looking and trying to figure out where they could find their brother." Elena knew this was just as hard on the two of them as it was on the rest of the siblings.
"Come on." He moved to grab Evie as he stood up holding his hand out to Elena to help her up. Kol knew he needed to check on his little sisters and make sure that they too were ok. "I know they are going through it so he wasn't only my dad."
The two headed downstairs seeing them talking to Esther who was informing them of how it had happened and what had happened.
"Layla Hope." Kol called he knew that this was hard for all of them and that they were all going to need each other.
Layla ran over to her brother hugging him she had been scared he was going to do something stupid. And after just finding out her dad was dead she hated that he had not been answering the phone. "You are not allowed to ignore me."
"Sorry." Kol hadn't wanted to talk to anyone he knew that he had to let them know what happened but other than that. He knew he had to figure out a way to deal with it himself.
"I know i know that it's a lot for all of but please never do that again." Layla said she couldn't stand the fact that he hadn't texted back or said anything about anything else that was happening.
"I won't." Kol promised he knew that it must have been hard trying to figure out how to find him.
"Good."
Kol let go of his sister looking between the two of them. "Are you two ok?"
"We haven't talked to him in days." Hope said she knew that she hadn't been on the best terms with her dad and now he was dead.
"And now he's gone." Layla finished she wished that they hadn't been mad at him. She hated that he died knowing his daughters were angry with him. "And we were so mad at him."
"He knew you two loved him even if you were upset." Esther assured even if they weren't her daughters they were apart of her family. And she hated to see them upset and thinking that Christopher had thought the two hated hated him when she knew differently,
"We did."
"We always will."
