Kol was standing under the bleachers it was his free class. He dialed his father's number he was going to meet Elena after he talked to him. But he knew that it was time for him to tell his father the news.
"Hello." It wasn't his father it was a girl she couldn't be more than 15.
He didn't know who this was he took the phone away from his ear seeing that it was his dad's number. "Hello, I'm looking for my dad."
"You must have the wrong number because this is my dad's phone" She had answered the phone not paying attention to who was calling but she knew that they had to be wrong.
"Depends what's your last name." It wouldn't surprise him if his dad had an entire other family especially with how many random business trips he made.
"I'm Layla Mikaelson." She didn't get how that was relevant but she guessed she could answer.
"How old are you?" It was clear this was his sister now he was wondering how long their dad had kept her hidden.
"14 why are you asking didn't you hear wrong number." She didn't get what he wasn't hearing.
"No I'm looking for my dad i'm Kol Mikaelson and i'm 16." He should have figured something was up with all the business trips but he had never taken the time to actually think about it.
"Do you have any siblings?" She knew her dad had a wife but other than that he didn't really tell them anything,
He chuckled slightly it was kind of funny he already thought he had a lot of siblings and now he was adding another one. "Yeah, the oldest is 25 the youngest 16 my oldest sister has a 13-year-old daughter i was calling to tell him i got a girl pregnant."
"I'm an aunt cool i have an older sister Hope Mikaelson."
"By the way Dad's got cancer and he might not make it another 3 years." He wasn't sure how much their dad was sharing with her but he knew she deserved to know.
"I know." She hated that she could lose her dad any day now but she was dealing with it.
"If you have a phone take my number down." He wanted to stay in contact with her he was't sure what his dad was thinking but he now knew how to stop his dad for potentially killing him.
"I will thanks."
"No problem and if you could pass on the news for me." He was sure it would be easier coming from then from her rather than him.
"No problem."
Henrick walked over to his brother he had been looking for him and then remembered he had a free period. "Mrs. Saltzman wants you."
"Text me Layla we need to continue this conversation." He wanted to get to know his sister and he knew they were going to need each other when their dad died.
"I will bye Kol."
"Bye."
"Who is Layla." Henrick was so confused who his brother could be talking to he didn't even know a Layla.
"Our sister."
"Oh."
"Yeah, i might have just found a loophole." He hoped that it worked well for him in the end but he wasn't sure how it would go.
"You're going to have her tell him." Henrick knew that was going to be a good option so their father didn't kill them.
"Yeah."

Layla put her dad's phone down after putting Kol's number into her own phone. She couldn't believe she had an entire side of her family she didn't know about. "Layla."She turned to him she wanted answers now. "I have a brother."
"Who was that?" He had set his phone down and now he knew what had happened to it.
"Daddy do i have more siblings." She wanted a straight answer she didn't want him to distract her from her original question.
He hadn't wanted that to be the way she found out"Layla i can-"
Layla cut him off she really wasn't interested in hearing whatever excuse he had. She had told her brother she would relay the message to their dad that was all she had to say to him. "Don't Kol told me to tell you that he got a girl pregnant."
"What?" He wanted to make sure he caught what she said.
"He has a girlfriend he's going to be a father. He knows about me and Hope now Dad why did you lie to us." She was happy for her brother and happy she was going to be an aunt.
"I didn't want to-"
"Nevermind I'm going to my room leave me alone i don't want to talk to you." She walked past him heading to her room not wanting to hear anything else from him.

He walked in seeing Jenna sitting at her desk he knew this was personal. He knew Jenna had been one of the first ones to find out and she was protective of her family. "Why do i feel like this is more personal."She wouldn't lie this was personal because she wanted to make sure they were on the same page. Because if he hurt her niece he would regret it."Easy because it has a seat."
"Illegal." Kol knew this was not legal because she was using her job to threaten him.
"I don't care that is my niece if you hurt her you will live to regret it." It was a promise she wouldn't let him hurt her.
"I would never do that to her." He loved her and he was happy for their baby.
"Sit."
He sighed taking the seat across from Jenna he knew there was no avoiding this. She was a teacher after all. "Ok give me the talk."
She was happy he was prepared because she was not kidding at all. He was going to do his best by her. "She told me about the party and why you both were drinking i don't want to know. But she wants this baby and that means that people are going to have a lot to say and that means you better be by her side or so help me god i don't care who your family is i will hurt you."
"Jenna i may not be the best person but i have no intention of abandoning her or my child. I love her I've always loved her and i finally have my chance and i refuse to ruin it." He wasn't going to let anyone ruin this for him he had loved her for awhile and now he had his chance with her.
Jenna smiled that part she had knew she could tell by the way he had always looked at her. "I knew that you fell in love with her a while ago i was just waiting for it to happen didn't think it would happen like this."
"But it did but that doesn't mean i am going anywhere."
"I believe you just don't make me regret it."
