"What if you lost everything.... all over again?"
Prologue:
This is not your typical lovey-dovey romance story about a vampire and a girl (basically, it's not Twilight). This story is about a young man with incredible powers that (unfortunately) come with a price. This now-misterious, once-happy teenager killed his own parents. Pretty harsh, right? But he didn't do it consciously. Confused? Okay look, this guy is a werewolf/vampire hybrid. How does that exist? Well, one thing led to another and... Well, I don't know. Anyways, since he contains the blood of not only two, but three different beings, -his mother was bitten by a vampire so she was human before- he is not able to control them. Four "entities" live within him due to this clash of powers. They are the following: Killer, Yuuki, Jonah, and (later in the story) Hakyuu. Hakyuu is the manifestion of darkness in him that appears later in the story.
Now comes the general stuff: His name is Kira Yuuki. A weird, but meaningful name later in the story. He takes care of his little sister, Nani, when his parents die and falls in love with Janice, one of the villagers. His father gave him the The Skull's Amuleto, a sort of necklace that suppresses his power and allows him to look like a mere human. He somehow ends up about 500 years in the future and meets Marsha and Kiki Saunshue, who give him shelter when he develops amnesia. Confused, Kira now finds a way to regain his identity and have some meaning in his life.

Chapter 1: Broken Bonds
Kira stared at her, incredulously. "Why are you just standing there?!?!" she shouted, in fear. "Why won't you help me?!?!" she pleaded. Kira didn't seem to understand what she meant. Then, he woke up.
"Just a dream...?" he whispered. This stranger, who was she? he thought. In the dream, his hands were stained with blood. The lady was crying and pleading for his help. He assumed he had had too much to eat the night before, and tried to forget about the disturbing dream. "Kiyu! Let's go-o-o-o!" a little girl sang. Kiyu was the playful nickname she put on Kira. This little girl wasn't what you think. This little girl was actually Kira's sister. "Coming, Sunshine!" he shouted.
"I told you not to call me that! My name is not Sunshine!" she whined. "Oh but, your like a ray of sunshine in the morning." he said. She smiled.
"Yep, your brightness annoys me and your energy tires me." he teased. Her face suddenly turned grim. "
Moron. I was a fool to think you'd say something as nice as that to me." she mummered. Sunshine, as you now know her, is actually named Nani. She was named after her mother. The name doesn't mean anything in particular, but it mostly sounds adorable!
Kira loved Nani very much. He took custody of her when his parents died. Nani was human but her body's sense of time was different. Don't get it? Basically, Nani ages slower than any normal human. She inherited her parents' everlasting youth and power. But there's a twist. At birth, Nani powers were consumed by the Skull's Amuleto (all but her youthful power). This was the power of the Amuleto and it could only be done once every 2,000 years on one member of each family. Since Kira didn't receive the Skull's Amuleto until his parents died (and Nani was left an orphaned infant) then he decided to cast away her powers before she found out that she had them. The powers still remain in the Amuleto. But, they can no longer return to its original owner. The Amuleto also posseses the power to supress Kira's powers.
Later that day, they met up with Janice. Janice, Kira and Nani were like one little happy family. They did everything together. They loved to go to the forest to hunt, gather and pick flowers. Nani would tease Kira and Janice when they would act all "lovey dovey" (as Nani called it).
"Oooohh, What'ya gonna do Kira? Are ya gonna kiss her?" she teased, making smooch sounds.
"At least I have a girlfriend! HA HA HA!" he sang, boasting. "
You'll no longer have one if you keep boasting like that." Janice replied, cleverly. Kira made a scared face at Nani (joking, of course).
"Someone's not getting any sugar tonight." Nani kept teasing, over and over again. After quite a while, Kira finally said, annoyed: "Shut up, will you?" Nani ignored his comment, and kept teasing. Finally, Kira got pissed and shouted at her. Then, he stormed off.
It must sound pretty dumb for a grown man to get pissed over such an idiotic thing as a teasing little girl, but that wasn't why he left. It was because the sun was setting and he noticed something. He wasn't wearing the amulet. He ran all the way to his house and searched for it. IT WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. Night fell, and he figured it would be fine to go just one night without it. Lucky for him, it was a new moon so his human form would remain. He went to look for Janice and Nani and found them in a meadow at the back of the house. Nani was worried and Janice was trying to console her. "I'm gone for ten minutes, and this is what happens?" he said, hastily. "Kira, Nani was wounded." she whispered into his ear. "How serious is it? Is she bleeding?" he asked, worried. "She stopped bleeding, but she was bitten by a snake or something." she whispered, so that Nani wouldn't hear.
"Let me see." he said.
