Kira rises out of the Amuleto. His wounds do not disappear, therefore if he had died inside the Amuleto, he would've died in real life. Meanwhile, Kiki sits in a chair on the front porch, looking solemn. He's gone... What do I do? she thought. She stood up and ran toward her bedroom, where she picked up an empty backpack and started to put things inside. Among these were some beanies, clothes and some food. She put on her black worn-out high tops and ran out the door. She ran in the direction of the forest.
As Kiki ran towards the forest, Marsha was arriving to the house. She went in and noticed that the doors were all opened and nobody was home. So, you've gone after him, huh? she thought. Marsha follows after Kiki towards the forest. Kira remains sitting next to the Amuleto, eyes closed, as if awaiting Kiki and Marsha's arrival. Yet, he never expected the approaching encounter.
Kiki stumbles upon Kira, who is still sitting next to the Amuleto. Kira open his eyes.
                              "What happened to you?"
                              "I died."
"I don't need any sarcasm. How did you get those wounds?"
"It wasn't sarcasm, the old me died in there. I beat myself senseless into someone new."
                              "You're not making sense."
"I fought with Killer and beat the shit out of him inside the Amuleto. Psssh, coward."
                              "Who's Killer?"
"Oh, right. You don't have to know. Why are you here, anyways?"
"Isn't that what I'm supposed to ask?"
"Leave. I told you not to talk to me anymore. This is the last time we speak. I'm not the guy you know anymore. My memories did change me, just like Marsha predicted. I feel nothing towards you, I could kill you right now, but if I do that Marsha won't help me."
"You're right. You're not the Jonas I know. The Jonas I know would've already come back. Nay, he wouldn't even have run away! The Jonas I know wouldn't want to kill me, or anyone for that matter. The Jonas I loved so much, the friend he was, is gone."
                              Silence. Suddenly, Kiki asks:
"You want to know what's under this hat?"
                              "I don't care what's under there."
"I'll show it to you so that you can grasp something."
Kiki removes her hat and reveals her true physical self. Her hair falls to her thighs and the pupils in her eyes bear a david's star mark. They are red and black. The color of her hair is black slowly shaded into brown and turning blood red at the bottom. Kind of like it was slowly changing color.
"When I was little, I was cursed by a witch. Sounds crazy, but it's true. The curse will slowly kill me if I don't undo it soon. As you can see, my hair is probably black with red tips. The witch said that I'd stay blind, and slowly succumb to an unknown illness. I slowed down the process by having a sacred sutra put on this hat."
"So...? Should I feel sorry in any way? Need I avenge you? Make you feel better by saying things like 'It'll be alright'? Frankly, I don't care. All I want is for you to not die by MY HANDS. However, if you died in some other way, that does not involve me, then you may do so. Your existence is the same as any other human's, not really all that meaningful. But I can't kill 'em even though I don't really care for them."
"So I was right... Your answer is always the same. 'I don't care', he says. What a bitch. Well, I don't give a damn about you either, but I'm coming anyways, whether you like it or not."
                              "And why is that?"
"You're going to look for a witch, right? You know the witch that cursed me? She had a strange tattoo on her neck. And, from what I heard from Marsha, so does the witch that you're after."
"Okay, what if it really is the one who cursed you? You'll just stand there and think I'll protect you from her? I'm going to kill her, but not for your sake. And what if she isn't the witch you're after? What then? Just telling you this makes you realize that you're not even powerful enough, right? I'm going to leave soon, without you. And if worse comes to worse, I'll find a way to kill you."
Marsha suddenly bursts out of the bushes and almost falls over. She regains her balance and stares at both of them, switching back and forth and investigating their faces.
"So, what happened now? Both of you look pretty serious. Wait, let me guess, Kira's leaving and Kiki wants to come, but Kira refuses uncaringly. Kiki has shown him the curse and he's not budging. Suddenly, I walk into the heat of the moment." Marsha says casually.
"We're done here." Kira says, turning towards the other direction.
"Before you leave, I want to give you something."
Kira keeps walking, no sign of curiosity covers his face.
                              "Don't need it."
"Well, I tried being nice but...."
Marsha quickly pushes Kiki towards the bushes and takes out a circular glowing object. The object is pushed into Kira's chest. He screams: "What the hell are you doing?!?!"
He kneels down in agony. The object glows brighter and Kira tries to remove it. This makes it worse, since apparently, he screams even louder and falls to the floor.
                              "What'd you do to him?!?!"
                              Kiki seemed worried and frustrated.
"Relax, I just saved you more time. He's not dead, just passed out from shock. We've got two weeks."
                              "Two weeks? for what?"
"I'm going to make you useful. I'm going to train you so that you can leave with him."
"Wait, what? How are you going to do that?"
"Just go home. I'll fill you in later." Marsha said.
