As Kira awoke from his bed in the morning, everything seemed normal.
"Was it a dream?" he asked himself. The thought of it all being just a horrible nightmare made him feel relieved. He stood up and walked over to his desk. There, he saw a school uniform and the Skull's Amuleto. He took the Amuleto and made his way into the bathroom. His eyes were normal even though he didn't have it on. This made him think that he must've also dreamt himself going to the library with Kiki. He felt like he didn't know reality anymore. Suddenly, a tear of blood ran down his face.
"What's this?" he said, while inspecting it with his thumb. After a minute or so, both his eyes wouldn't stop bleeding.
It doesn't hurt but the blood won't stop...he thought to himself. He grabbed a towel and started to wash his face. Five minutes later, it finally resided.
Kira couldn't find anyone around the house. When he approached Kiki's room, he gently knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Relieved to hear the sound of her voice, Kira entered the room. But what he found inside wasn't pleasant. Kiki had a knife on her bloody hand. Her back was facing Kira, and she said: "This is what you have done. Marsha is dead, and now it's your turn to face judgement."
She turned around quickly and slashed his leg. He fell on the floor and when Kiki was near him, ready to kill, a voice said: "What do we do? We can't just let him stay here. He could kill us"
Kira was confused and Kiki stood hearing the voice.
Another voice replied: "Well, I'm in charge of him so he's not going anywhere."
"Fine, but if he risks both our lives one more time, he is dead." It sounded like a conversation between two familiar voices. As he saw the knife about to pierce him through, everything went black.
"What do we tell him when he wakes up?" Kira heard this vaguely. He opened his eyes to find himself in a hospital bed. Even so, he remained confused. So, he decided to eavesdrop on the conversation and act asleep.
"Let's just keep quiet. We can at least give him a few days before he remembers everything and freaks out." Marsha's voice filled the air.
"What about school?" Kiki asked.
"He has to attend. If he doesn't, the authorities will get suspicious. They're already suspicious about our alibi. Let's lay low for a while." Marsha stated.
"You think I don't know what I did? " Kiki and Marsha turned to Kira, who was sitting up now.
"I'm not someone to mess with, Marsha. I'm leaving before anything else happens. Besides, I'm not going to remember shit in this place." Kira said, staring at his bandaged hands.
"No, we're not letting you go!" Kiki screamed unexpectedly. For only a mere second, Kira seemed shocked. But his astonishment turned into something else quickly.
"You know what I remembered? The person who killed my parents was me." Kiki stepped away and remained silent.
"I was in that state, but unlike last night's situation, I wasn't able to stop until my parents were both dead." Kira stands up and picks up the pile of clothes on his desk.
"Give me five minutes." The bathroom door slams and only the sickening sound of silence remains.
"What now?" Kiki asks.
"Well, I can't exactly let him go now, can I? Let me deal with this." Marsha explains.
Kira picks up a bag on the floor and puts it over his shoulder. He resumes to open the door when Marsha says: "I can't exactly let you go. I'm still your legal guardian."
