Summary: Peter could've sworn he doesn't believe in any concept of love, romantically or platonically. (Inspired by 'The Only Exception', Paramore).

author's note: i do not know what i am doing, why i'm back here because i could've sworn i just cringed a little bit (maybe a lot) while reading back the one shots and well.... the other stories. did i grow up? A LOT. but do i have ideas? probably. though, i do not remember the format to write in wattpad.

Peter swore to himself that he would never, ever— believe in any type of loves, let it be romantically like the one he had with MJ, or the loving kind of family he used to had with May. He swore that he could not see himself grasping the concept itself, because he believed that everything eventually comes to an end.

The quiet chill breeze on a random Wednesday evening ran past Peter's face as he is sat on the bench in the Central Park. The day was weighing a lot on him— the day packed with all his university classes at Columbia, the way his friends were always talking too much when it comes to judging random people in campus, he hated it. Not because he was tired, but he just hated it how certain people would never stop talking judging like a hypocrites.

"I swear, one of these days, my brain's going to blow from all their words," a sigh escape his words as he threw his head back against the bench, looking up at the brown leaves falling off the branches like a beautiful big snowflake flying in the middle of autumn.

"I know, right? I mean, it's not that I agree, but it's just that they're too much sometimes." Ned just lean back against the bench, the pale grey clouds hovering over them as if it's a protection against their tired body.

"Sometimes I— mind you, sometimes, I just kinda wish I never met them. I feel like only the two of us is enough to get through university." Peter turned towards Ned, tilting his head with a smirk because Ned definitely knew what he wanted to do: cutting their friend circle off.

"Nope, absolutely not. There's going to be more problems if we did that. Brad's already jealous of our friendship just because we live in the same building." Ned rolled his eyes, drinking the coffee that he bought earlier from the cafe across the campus building that seemed to never finish.

Peter just look ahead as he sigh and close his eyes. Just a few more years with them, then I can have my peace back. He just shove his hands into the pocket of his hoodie, not even realizing that Ned had left after telling him that he got an assignment meeting to attend.

When he open his eyes again, a drop could be felt on his nose bridge, the breeze starting to whisper through cold air and shaky leaves. "I should get going to my intern before that old man is complaining again."

For Peter, the only platonic concept that he believes in the most are friends, because since high school, Ned was always there for him. Through the countless heartbreaks, the bad days, the slow days, and even through the happiness that they seem to shared together.

// Stark Tower, 5.00PM.

Peter just stroll in through the lobby when he heard the only voice that always annoys his evening everyday. "Kid, where have you been? I swear that I remember your daily class schedule and you finished class at two." Tony had just ascended from the basement garage with some paperbag in his arms, which definitely has snacks for lab sessions.

"Oh come on, Mr. Stark. Can this 'kid' gets a little peace time before the crazy and chaotic lab sessions?" He rolled his eyes, a habit that he could never get rid of whenever he got super annoyed along with the defiant furrowing eyebrows.

Tony just stood there with his eyebrows lifted up in unamusement. "You're my kid, what I'm expecting from you is to spend time together, not seeing your eyes rolling back towards the brain like a teenager." He step into the elevator and waited for Peter to hop along with him.
