Michael's POV

"Hey, don't fall asleep" I spoke when I turned to her, realizing she had her eyes closed. When she didn't reply, I shook her arm, not quite gently.

She muffled but didn't bother to open her eyes.

"But I'm tired..." she mumbled, turning her back at me.

Groaning in frustration, I got up and looked down at her.

"I'll leave you here, I'm serious" I now stated angrily.

Allison didn't relpy. She seriously started falling asleep in the middle of a street, only wearing a short dress and it was fucking cold.

To make the matters worse, it also started raining again. Not as much as the day before but it was still enough that little puddles built in the spot in front of me.

"Okay just get up now, you'll get wet" I groaned.

No reply. Again. WAS SHE SERIOUSLY ASLEEP? Well, she had quite a lot of these cookies though. Should I just leave?

Slowly my feet started moving along the street, not daring to turn around to look at her.

I would've helped her up, if I reconsidered my choice of leaving and I needed to admit that to myslef.

I don't care about people - that's my attidude and I didn't want to change that. She doesn't care about me either after all. Basically, Allison didn't give a shit about me.

I'm just that agressive kid, who can't get anything right; the one who needed help to even get through school. That was what she thought of me and only that.

When I ran my hand through my hair and single red stains sticked to my fingers, I realized how heavy the rain had gotten. I didn't even notice just until then and the reason was probaby, that my anger always blurred my senses - just like being with Allison did.

Suddenly my feet stopped walking and I couldn't really tell why, but I rushed back. She was still lying there in the middle of the street, dimly lit by the latern above her.

I didn't want to talk. I didn't want her to know, that I came back or worse: what I did afterwards.

Kneeing down next to her, I slipped my right arm under her popliteal, the other one lifting her back to let my underarm bear it as I stood up.

The rain drops ran down my chin and landed on her face with every step I took.

My house was closer than hers, so I decided to let her stay at my place tonight.

No girl had ever stayed at my place before and I didn't even know why I decided to take her home, really.

We couldn't stand each other so why on earth was I doing that?!

A lot of girls have entered and left my bedroom door but I never let anyone stay overnight; maybe because I didn't trust the people I slept with enough. Wait. Was I analyzing myself? Really? Did Allison have that much of an impact by now? I still can't believe that I used the word "popliteal" earlier - what a crazy night. I really needed a cigarette now.

When I reached the front porch of the house, I lay her down on the bench next to the door. One last look on her closed eyes made me realize, that even the rain and also my loud coughing didn't wake her up when I carried her.

Shaking my head, I fingered the keys out of my backpack. Expectedly we were alone, which was good so no one would wonder why I was carrying a passed-out, half naked and soaked girl into my room. On the other hand, I realized that Lauren had seen me in states way lower than that.
