Allison's POV

"Are you sure?" he asked and I nodded briefly. "I know you're lying" Michael spoke with raised eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes and opened the car door, patting his hand on my thigh to tell him to move it over.

Instead he interlocked our fingers and just sternly looked into my eyes.

Looking outside, the stars were already appearing on the dark grey sky which was just about to turn pitch black.

I wondered how late it had gotten just spending my day with Michael like we both never would've imagined.

We cooked together, we listened to music; he played me a song or two and taught me some chords I didn't know yet.

You should always try to play e-guitar chords on an acoustic. It really turns this country-style in rock, y'know? he murmured quietly, totally caught up by his fingers working on the frets.

I was madly in love with him.

We even started studying for his finals but Michael was quite distracted. He made jokes like "I don't even need to study" but dropped it right afterwards.

Whenever I rewarded him with a kiss after he gave a correct answer, I convinced him quite easily to keep on studying and he smiled the whole way through since then.

He opened up towards me; something he seemed to be quite new to as well.

His mother, Karen, must have been a very strong and wonderful human being - just like his father, Daryl.

Losing both of them was quite a tough experience facing how young he was and it sure forced him into growing up pretty fast.

Lauren was great but very distant and so was her husband who never seemed to show up. Everything he was had music - which included me and his band.

Alcohol, cigarettes, violence, sex and drugs were also the things to make him feel alive but he got away from that surprisingly quick - too quick for it to be normal and too quick for my liking, to be honest. It took him about two months for a complete recovery - that's incredibly rare but so was not having pain at your first time, right?

Michael never failed to impress me in his ways and so was he right now.

"Should I introduce myself to him? You don't need to see him alone. Not after all he's done" his hand let go of mine and unfastened his seat belt.

Staring at the buckle, I now noticed that he didn't run over any red lights while bringing me home.

I looked up at him. "Meeting my parents? That's a pretty damn official thing for the fact that you say we aren't dating"
