Chapter 10

Saturday August 4th, 2029

Penelope is roughly 18 weeks along now and with Caroline and a now accepting Alaric are on Skype while everyone stands around impatiently. Kellin is in the process of moving the ultrasound wand around Penelope's growing baby bump so they can discover the gender.

"Okay everyone ready?" Kellin says knowing the delay is killing them all.

"YES!" Hope, Lizzie, Josie, and Penelope being the loudest over the adults.

"Its a girl!" Kellin announces and points at the screen.

Every one cheers happily while Penelope smiles widely and mumbles something to herself.

"What was that baby?" Hope asks Penelope.

"Eloise Andrea Mikaelson." Penelope repeats and this time everyone hears and smiles. "I've always like the name Eloise, and Andrea to honor both you and your mother." Penelope smiles up at Hope who has tears in her eyes.

"That's perfect, my love." Hope then kisses Penelope softly before the twins both agree and kiss both Hope and Penelope as well.

Wednesday August 15th, 2029

The girls have explored New Orleans all summer and are now saddened to leave, but the twin's heat is late. After making sure it wasn't due to pregnancy they came to the conclusion that it was due not being at the school where they had their first heat and felt the most comfortable. So they got on a plane to head back to school in hopes it would help. Kellin was adamant that a delayed heat whether it was due to suppressants or being in a place where they feel unable to go into heat could cause problems. They returned to the school around 5 at night and by 8 the twins heat had started and it hit them hard. Hope's rut had not started so she was having quite the time keeping up with the two of them. It was two days into the twin's heats Hope's rut starts which makes it a little easier for her to keep up with the twins. The three girls go through their heats and rut for 7 days after Hope's rut starts. A week after their heats and rut stop both Lizzie and Josie take pregnancy tests that come out negative. While the girls are relieved that they will only be having one baby at such a young age they are also somewhat disappointed. But either way they don't have long to dwell as school starts within the next five days and during that time Penelope moved into Hope's room, but the twin's kept their room at least for extra space.

The first day of school like always is full of reunions as all of the students are back at the Salvatore boarding school. The only thing on everyone's minds other than school and friends, is Penelope Park and the fact that she is pregnant. It is quickly learned not to let any of the four girls hear you talk bad about Penelope or their baby for they each have caused some form of bodily harm to the student talking bad. The first incident occurred not even two classes in when Lizzie and Penelope were walking between classes when Josie attacked a wolf that called the baby a bastard and a disgrace. Comments halted all together the second week of school when Hope snapped three vampires necks before announcing that if anyone said anything about any of them again that she'd make it so they'd actually be dead. During this time Freya had come and went after getting Hope's secret house's construction under way. By the third week roughly a month after the twin's heat, between school, Penelope's appointments for the baby, and Hope sneaking away to observe the houses progress the four girls still had quite amount of fun that lead to Lizzie sitting in Hope's or rather all of their's in-suit bathroom staring at a test, a pregnancy test. Lizzie was shocked, but excited to tell her girlfriends. She wanted to make it special so she did a small clocking spell to hide the baby's heartbeat from those with supernatural hearing before scheduling an appointment to confirm, if she calculated correctly she's 7 weeks along.

Saturday October 27th, 2029

Lizzie got up early and meet her mother in front of the school. She had told Caroline she wanted to go into town to get Hope, Josie, and Penelope something so she wouldn't suspect anything as she wanted to surprise for her parents as well.

"Hi Lizzie."

"Hi mom, thank you for giving me a ride into town."

"No problem sweetie, I'm just gonna go visit Elena and Damon while you are shopping." Caroline smiles at her daughter as they both hope into her car.

The ride is filled with the radio playing softly in the background and questions from Caroline about how Lizzie, Josie, Hope, Penelope, and the baby are doing. Caroline drops Lizzie off in the center of town, saying to call when she's ready to head back before driving away. Lizzie waits till her mother's car is out of sight before she heads towards the doctors' office. Her appointment goes fast, her pregnancy is confirmed, she's 7 weeks along with twins, both healthy with strong heartbeats. Her smile has stayed since the confirmation as she travels through town to get a handful of things before calling her mother. Once back at the school Lizzie locks herself away in her and Josie's room to quickly prepare for telling her girlfriends about her pregnancy. She's thankful that they had believed her when she said she had an extra credit project to do, as they haven't questioned her leaving early and being busy all day. Its 6 pm when Lizzie finishes up and goes to meet Hope, Josie, and Penelope for dinner. Its somewhat loud during dinner as all the students gather and chat with friends, the four girls talking among themselves as they eat before they head back to Hope's room for bed or at least that's what Hope, Josie, and Penelope thought. As they walked back to their room Lizzie quickly grabbed an envelope from her room before they continued. Lizzie cleared her throat after shutting the door to Hope's room once they had all entered.

"I have something I need to tell the three of you." Lizzie says as they look towards her.

"What's up Liz?" Josie questions.

Lizzie smiles before unzipping the hoodie that she had been wearing to show her shirt. She had gotten a plain white shirt while in town and wrote "we'll see you in June 2030" and pulls out an ultrasound picture of the twins. The second her three girlfriends see her shirt and then the picture they break out in smiles and hug Lizzie.

"You're pregnant? With twins?" Hope says happily.

"Yes I'm 7 weeks along!"

Hope chuckles softly as she hugs Lizzie again before kneeling in front of her.

"Hi little ones, momma loves you both so much and so does mama, mommy, and mammy! We love you and your sister so so so much!" Hope stands after talking into Lizzie's stomach and placing a kiss on it and Penelope's too. "And I love the three of you so much!" Hope kisses Lizzie, then Penelope, and then Josie.
