"The particle accelerator is now activated." Julia Palmer reported from her position at one of the computers in the Cortex, and she was typing real quickly, and, monitoring the activities of the particle accelerator.

Julia heard her phone ring and she looked over at Cisco Ramon, who was typing next to her. "Take the call. We can handle monitoring it for the time that it takes for your phone call to be over and done." He said with a joking grin, as Julia lightly punched him in the shoulder, before she scooped up her phone.

"Hartley, I haven't heard from you in months." Julia spoke into the phone as she walked into an empty room.

"I know, I'm sorry. But is the particular accelerator still holding up?" Her best friend asked and Julia, she looked around at the crowds that were outside of her little room briefly, before she sighed.

"Yes, it is Hartley. I share your concerns about this, you know that right? I read the report that you typed up, before Wells had you fired. I trust you, but it is stable for now." Julia said and Hartley sighed with relief.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry I haven't been around much, but I have been trying to get in contact with the rest of my family, but... I mean, you of all people know how they are." He said and Julia smiled sadly when he admitted it.

"Hartley, if you need a place to crash you know that mine is always open... right?" Julia clarified and she had the sense, that Hartley was grinning from the other end of the line. "I know you are smiling, by the way." She said and he laughed.

"Yes, I know that your place is always open. Can I stop by tonight and crash? My roommate kicked me to the curb apparently I was ruinin' his... 'cool factor' or something? I'll find a place to stay after tonight but I really do not want to sleep inside of my car... again." Hartley's voice was a good indicator, of what was probably going to be a long night of psychological talk and, them talking through emotions.

"Of course you can, Hart and for the love of God, just stay at mine until you can find somewhere else. All right? I won't kick you out and you know--" At once, her sentence trailed off as S.T.A.R labs alarms began to blare out around the lab and Julia looked at the other scientists, who were running all around them, yelling and shouting in a total panic. "--it." She finished and on the other end Hartley Rathaway he was speaking into the phone, but she wasn't hearing it.

"Julia!" Him shouting loudly into her phone, seemed to snap her swiftly out of her stupor. "What's going on?" He asked, and she looked around at all of the panic everywhere around her.

"There was a malfunction, just like you said, Hart. Everyone is panicking and we can't get the accelerator back down to stabilized." Julia said and his breathing was heavy on the other end and Julia was trying to slow her own heartbeat down.

"I warned him this was going to happen. He didn't listen to me, he wanted me to stay quiet... and it did happen." Hartley whispered harshly and suddenly, a sudden blast sent Julia flying through the air.

Julia dropped the phone and she looked around for it as the accelerator continued to get worse and she finally caught it. "Hartley?" She asked and he was still on the other end. "Hartley, you need to stay calm..." She felt a massive rumbling underneath her and on the other end, Hartley was panicking and she heard the sound of squealing wheels against the wet pavement. "Get to my place, I'll meet you there!" Julia shouted into the phone and she found that a lot more voices, she could hear a lot more. "I... what is happening?" She whispered and suddenly, she heard Hartley screaming on the other end, before the line went dead. "Hartley? Hartley?!" She shouted and Caitlyn Snow was running toward her, as they were all ordered to get out of the building, now.

Caitlyn managed to get Julia out of S.T.A.R Labs, but the younger girl was dying of a brutal headache, that was randomly coming into her head, and she collapsed, holding her head like it was a cracking egg and she sobbed in pain.

"What's happening to her??" She heard someone shouting, or maybe it was something inside someone's head and she felt like a crashing wave of all emotions were coming down on her and she cried out, as blackness crept through her vision, and she blacked out.
