Pic of Aron at the top btw
Before the bright, unmerciful sun had even awoken from his bed of valleys all contestants of the Immortalia project were on their way to another neighboring facility close to the camp. This facility was not as heavily guarded as the I.M.M.O.R.T.A.L facility. The only security was at the front gate, where there was only three armed guards standing at their posts. We entered a white washed building, which exterior was scantily dotted with palm trees. We all followed our directors, which consisted of Professor Kartima, Professor Fuertano, and Instructor Walker. Where Instructor Lee was, I had not a clue. But, by the way she was behaving the last time I spotted her, I guess she went to sort out the situation on our ' lack of readiness'. For what I don't know, but that was just another mystery added to my to do list." Listen up cadets! Today you will be having a physical test. We will weed out the weaklings from the strong ones!", Instructor Walker bellowed, meanwhile he directed us outdoors to a large, high ceiling artificial dome.
" In this game it's every man for themselves. Each contestant can chose any weapon that is to their liking. Using this weapon they will eliminate their fellow contestants, until. It is the last one standing. Don't fret, as everyone will be given protective gear and it won't be a fight to the death. Once the contestant receives one hit by another contestant's weapon they are eliminated from the match and the fight ends there.", Professor Kartima further explained.
My chosen weapon was a silver compound bow, that was accented with a sling filled with silver arrows. I also padded my body with a bullet proof vest, elbow pads, knee pads and a Roman style helmet, that covered the back of my head and left my face uncovered.
" You ready to lose?", Ren asked me taking his position to the left of me with two silver, shimmering katanas in hand.
" Hey! That was supposed to me my line.", Lilly said jokingly to Ren taking her position to the right of me, grasping a long sword.
" Haha very funny you too, but we'll see who will be the one laughing when I take the crown.", I replied to both of them.
" Winning and losing does not have any meaning because some people will lose by winning.", Jake quoted taking his place beside his half brother.
Melody made her way beside Lilly and at that moment Instructor Walker bellowed.
" Get set! Ready! Fight!"
Shooting off into the dome without a second thought about what was in store for me, freezing cold air nipped at my skin. I was thrown into a winter wonderland of evergreen trees and snow painted shrubberys. The air was still, too still. Before I knew what was going on a dagger came whizzing towards my head, but to my luck the dagger did not meet it's mark and instead landed on a nearby tree trunk. I quickly moved out of the open space in which I was previously standing in and made my way to a more thickly-shrubbed area. My eyes spotted a swift movement in the tree branches and I had no doubt that was my predator. I quickly drew my bow back and waited for another dark shadow to pass by the tree branches. My patience was not needed as soon after I spotted the figure once again and without hesitation I released my arrow. I was responded with a satisfying groan, giving me the assumption that my arrow had met it's target.
I was continuing my journey through through the frigid woods, when suddenly I felt a presence sneaking up behind me. I swiftly spun around ready to release an arrow towards my stealthy opponent, but I froze my actions as I realized that my opponent was actually Melody.
" Stop! I come in peace. I swear.", Melody said.
" What were you thinking? Do you want a new piercing or something?", I asked her.
She responded to me by shaking her head in a 'No' gesture.
" What are you doing here by the way?", I asked her.
