Twylish's POV
Percy likes me?!
No way.
I gave a fake laugh. "No way, Zack."
He bent down so his mouth is just right next to my ear. "It's true. He's been staring at your back for the whole practicing session." He whispered.
"He's probably staring at... Julianne." I said hesitantly, and Zack straightened himself.
"I doubt it Twyla." He said quietly, winking at me. "Try noticing, and you'll see I wasn't lying." And with that, he walked back to the percussion stands.
Does he really like me? I mean I do but... Does he? I always find him very attractive. I found him staring a few times at school-not like I cared-but I never thought much about it. I thought he always stared because he wanted to know why I was staring, but things are more complicated right now...
Mart called across the room which caused me to shake out of my thoughts. Sighing, I picked up my violin and waited for the orchestra to start.
~Next Day~
I climbed on to the wheelchair lazily in the bright summer morning. I already feel so much better. My dad said I might heal quicker than the doctors think!
I chose black jeans, a white crop top with "COOL" written on it and straightened my hair with a straightener. After that, I was ready for school. Dad drove me, and I met Percy at the gates.
"Hello, Twyla." He smiled.
"Hello." I said quietly, smiling back. I couldn't help it. "Bye Daddy!" I called over my shoulder.
Percy held the handles of my wheelchair and wheeled me up to school. This reminded me of yesterday, and I covered my growing smile.
I entered the classroom, and saw Sylvia chatting with Draco, and they were laughing at something funny Draco just said. I smiled, I'm glad they'll go to prom together tonight.
"Let's leave Draco and Sylvia alone." I whispered to Percy, and he nodded and giggled. We sat alone at the back of the classroom and chatted.
"Hey, Percy."
We both turned to see Katie sashaying over to our table. Percy smiled, but he doesn't know, that Katie has a crush on Percy. "Uh, hello." He said.
"Have you finished the maths worksheet we've been doing together in maths lesson?" She asked sweetly, yet I can see she's trying to make me feel jealous. I didn't though, I'm not jealous at all, he's allowed to pair up with anyone to do a group project, it's not in my controlling range.
"Oh. Yeah, I did. It wasn't really homework anyway." He shrugged. I could feel he wanted to end this conversation as quickly as possible.
"Oh." I could tell she was racking her brain to think of a conversation. "Who are you going to prom with?"
"I already have someone in mind." He smiled. Katie gasped, she looked at me viciously, then she realised I was on my wheelchair, and a hint of victory glinted in her eyes.
"Well, I guess if you're going to ask Twylish, she'll be... unavailable at the moment." She smirked. Then she swaggered away smugly.
"Bitch." He whispered when he turned back towards me. I giggled. "Even if you're unavailable, I wouldn't ask anyone else anyway. Especially her." He spat. My heart stopped for a moment, feeling a huge affection on him.
Then I managed to keep my face normal as I say, "She's always flirting. Its a natural habit for her." I laughed, and he laughed as well. The bell rang at the moment, so he wheeled me to my seat before sitting beside me.
