Lumine trailed Zhongli through the streets of Liyue Harbor, the silk bag of mora Childe had gifted her jingling in the hands of Paimon. They passed numerous stalls, the smells of Wanmin restaurant penetrating their noses.
"Where are we going, Mr. Zhongli?" The traveler asked, patting down the wrinkles on her dress as she struggled to keep up with his long strides.
"The Jade Mystery." He gave a kind smile, slowing down slightly, "We need to purchase some noctilucious jade for the Rite of Parting."
"Makes sense that you would need something rock-related for the Geo Archon." Her companion floated, doing cartwheels midair.
"Isn't it near the alchemy-" Lumine began, before being interrupted by a sharp grip on her forearm.
Upon turning around, she was greeted with cat-like eyes the unmistakable color of cor lapis. Teal hairs flew around his face, his eyebrows furrowed in frustration.
"I thought I told you to stay at Yujing Terrace and wait." Xiao growled, strengthening his hold on the girl's arm, "And what's this talk of jade?"
"Ah, the young yaksha of Guili Plain," Zhongli laughed in his melodic voice, gently placing a hand on the adepti's shoulder, "You know Miss Lumine?"
"Mor-"
He placed a finger to his lips, shushing Xiao's words, "This is not the time, nor the place, but it is wonderful to see you, Xiao."
Gathering his composure, he straightened, "Yes, I know Lumine. I hope that she hasn't done anything offensive towards you."
"I assure you, Xiao, we are both completely fine. I was just having Miss Lumine help me gather materials for the Rite of Parting."
"Fine, but be careful." And with those words, he disappeared into dark crystals, vanishing into thin air.
