Dead? The Geo Archon- Rex Lapis? Dead? Possibilities ran through Lumine's mind like cicins, just barely evading her sword. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she hardly noticed she was somewhere else entirely.
"How could this have happened," Xiao said, gritting his teeth as the black-green crystals thinned.
"I-Is he really-"
"I must inform the other adepti of this." He looked the girl dead in the eyes, "Stay here as long a you can, the millelith will notice we're missing and come soon. When they do fight like your... nevermind."
"Fight the millelith?! Xiao I-" But he was already gone, leaving her alone with Paimon.
"One useful adeptus he was, huh?" The pixie huffed, "Why don't we just ditch him and go get some food."
"Now is not the time, Paimon!" Lumine shouted, "Rex Lapis is dead and that means I'll never find my brother, okay?!"
"I found them!" A voice called, coming from the stairway. They had been too loud.
Suddenly multiple guards game down, polearms in hand and ready for battle. Lumine grabbed her sword from her back and readied herself.
"Hold still, girly!"
