In Y/n's POV

Rushing into the café, the few customers who were already seated in there looked at me with worried eyes. The manager, Hu Tao, looked over at me and came over with a soft hand on my shoulder.

"Aya, are you okay, (Y/n)? You look like you just ran a marathon," inquired Hu Tao, patting my upper back softly.

"I'm fine... I just... lost track of time..." I huffed out in between breaths

"Well, in any case, we're glad you're finally here! Your shift was just about to start."

I nodded before heading to the back to change into uniform. About fifteen minutes into my shift, and I saw a familiar head of orange hair walk into the café.

"Childe..." I murmured out as I walked up to him to take his order.

"You ran out so quickly earlier... I didn't even get to say goodbye," sighed the ginger as he rolled a piece of mora in between his fingers.

"If you only came here to bid me adieu, I'd leave right now if I were you."

"Oh c'mon, girlie, don't be so cold with me all of a sudden. Not after what happened not too long ago on my counter..." smirked Childe, whispering that last part only centimeters away from my ear.

Feeling my cheeks flare up, I backed away from the table he was sat at. Scribbling some words quickly on my notepad, I ripped the paper from the said notepad and stomped away to some other table who actually needed my service.

As for what words I scribbled onto the paper, that was for Childe to know.

"What is you mean, f—" Childe was cut off by Manager Hu pouncing up at him.

"Heya! Did (Y/n) take your order yet? I saw her over here just a moment ago," giggled the manager as she began rocking back and forth and on the balls of her heels.

"Not exactly... she... mm..."

"Hey Hu Tao?" I said, tapping her on the shoulder.

"Hm?"

"This bozo's just being a whiny baby. I'll deal with him after my shift ends..."

"Alrighty then, but no fights. This is a café, not a wrestling arena."

"Got it, Boss."

And with that, she left us to our own devices.

"Like I said, I'll deal with you after my shift, okay? So, for now, just sit still and look pretty, huh?"

"Oh, so you admit to me looking attractive."

"I also admit to you being an idiot. Now, leave me alone, dumbass."

"I love you too," was all he cooed back before I walked away to some table across the building.

Before long, the day ended as quickly as it started. As the last person left the café after thanking Zhongli at the cash register, I turned over the 'OPEN' to 'CLOSE' and walked over to the lockers to change out of uniform.

"Childe is still here, do you want me to escort him out here?" asked Zhongli, stopping me after I came out of the locker room.

"I said I'd deal with him myself. No need to do anything, Zhongli."

He only nodded before letting me go.

"Childe."

"(Y/n)."

"Let's go. I wanna have a talk with you in private."

Once we reached his place once again, I tossed my bag on counter and managed to drag myself onto his couch.
