In Y/n's POV:

It was around our 2nd year of Uni when this occurred...

Coming back from another closing shift, I closed the door behind and let out a hefty sigh.

"How does Zhongli never seem to break a sweat after closing practically every night.. Ugh... Xiao, I'm home...!"

Upon turning the corner into the small kitchen that we had, I saw the aforementioned roommate setting up the table with some of [favorite pasta dish].

"Uh.. Xiao?"

"Welcome home, (Y/n). You're tired, aren't you? Sit down."

"Haha... did I do something wrong? I feel like I'm about to be lectured."

"Can't your roommate simply just cook dinner for you because he knows you work hard almost every day?"

"But when they have the cooking capabilities of the vigilant yaksha who only likes the tastes of almond tofu due to certain circumstances I will not mention.... no, you can't."

"Sometimes you make me wonder why I even decided to dorm with you."

"Because I'm so cool, awesome, sexy, funny, and provide you with amazing stories to tell to others?" I said, fluttering my eyes at the short man.

"I'm gonna poison your share of dinner for that."

"Xiao, wait, no- I was kidding—"

"Too late."

"Xiao, no...!"

After dinner, as I was doing the dishes, Xiao was scrolling through Netflix to find some movie to watch whilst we ate some dessert.

"How do you feel about Big Hero 6, (Y/n)?" he asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Mm, while Tadashi is quite scrumptious, I'm not really in the mood for an animated movie tonight."

"So... you want a live action movie? ... like Spider-Man?"

"Yes... but no."

"Well, what do you wanna watch?"

"I wanna watch Leon and his sweet ass run all over that Police Station looking for answers..."

"You wanna what."

"N-nothing," I mumbled out quickly as I brought over some small bowls with [favorite ice cream/gelato flavor] and spoons. "Here."

As my roommate mumbled back a quick thank you, I happily sat down and cuddled up next to him. We eventually ended up agreeing with watching some random horror movie that looked good.

All throughout the movie, when a few jumpscares occurred, I ended up grabbing onto Xiao's arms out of pure habit.

"Are you scared of a few cheap jumpscares like these?"

"You're not?"

"If you were to see the kinds of terrors I've experienced throughout my lifespan, nothing would phase you."

"Oh, Xiao... I... I'm sorry..." I sighed out, my grasp on his bicep starting to loosen up, instead sliding my arms up around his neck to hug him. Before returning the hug, I heard him hitch his breath for a couple seconds.

"... no need to be sorry. You weren't even alive back then. You couldn't have known or done anything. But... thank you for your sympathy."

"Xiao..."

Backing out of the hug, I looked into Xiao's eyes; they were glistening with small tears starting to form in the corners. After a couple seconds of staring into one another's eyes, Xiao, all of a sudden, kissed my cheek before quickly dumping his head into my shoulder.

"Thank you..."

"For what?"

"For being patient with me."

"Oh you big baby... There, there..." I softly chuckled out as I pat him on the back the most gentle way possible. "I'd wait centuries for you."

"I'd wait for an eternity for you, (Y/n). I hope you know that."

"Do not turn this sentimental moment between us into a competition, Mister Vigilant Yaksha. Now, shut up and let's finish the movie."

Pushing me down onto our shared sofa, he then said, "Make me."
