In Y/n's POV:

"Just be careful to not make any noises, got it, girlie?" smirked Ajax as he whispered those words into my ear with his annoying voice.

As he continuously mounded my rounds pounds of flesh on my chest as I tried to focus on the words and pictures on the pages. It was harder than it looked as the hands that belonged to the man behind me felt so, so—

"Ngh...!" I whimpered out as Ajax started to pinch them.

"Quiet down, girlie. Wouldn't want the owner or anyone else to find out what we're doing right?"

From anyone else's point of view, it just looked like he had his arms around my shoulders, innocently helping me turn the pages and reading the same book as me. Although, in actuality, it was more-so of just pure torture. Oh, how I wanted to punch him in the dick for pulling this sorta stunt.

"A-Ajax... please... this is t-too much..." I managed to mumble out, barely able to stay up.

"Alright, I'll stop... We aren't finished though," was all he said before pulling his hands from under my shirt.

Afterwards, I picked up some of the manga that looked interesting to me, paid for it at the counter, and then left the bookstore, hand-in-hand with Ajax. It wasn't until when we got back to the café was when someone, my boss, pointed it out.

"Ayaya! (Y/n), you're such a liar!" Hu Tao said as she skipped over to me and the ginger.

"Huh? Liar?"

"You said that you and Childe weren't dating, yet you're holding hands?"

"Huh?" Looking at what my fingers were intertwined with, I suddenly felt sweaty. Looking back up at Ajax, I saw a cheery smile on his face.

What an idiot.

"Well, it's true. A—Childe and I aren't dating."

That was when I felt the grip on my hand slightly falter.

"Then what's with the hand holding? Do people nowadays just platonically hold hands?"

"Some do."

"Well, nevertheless, get ready for work, (Y/n)."

"Right."

As I was about to leave to get changed in the back, I was suddenly tugged back by Ajax.

"Ajax? You okay? I kinda need to work, so if you could just—"

"—I'm not letting go. Not again."

"Uh... excuse me?" I retorted back, just standing there awkwardly as my hand was still, practically, glued to the ginger's.

"Ajax..."

"I don't wanna lose you..."

"Dude, I'm just going to work. I'll literally be in the same building as you, assuming you're gonna hang around here for my entire shift," I said with a deadpan expression plastered on my features, trying my best to free myself from his grasp.

Hesitantly, Ajax let go of my hand and let me go start my shift.

Althrouhout my shift, I saw glimpses of Ajax from my peripheral vision; moping around or just coming up to talk to me every now and again. He looked like a lost puppy.

Everytime he would talk to me, it sounded like something along the lines of:

"(Y/nnnnn), are you done yet? Can we go home? I'm hungryyyy."

Or...

"Are you done yet?"

"No."

"Get done faster...!"
