In Y/n's POV:

Upon opening up the door to my shared apartment, my (e/c) eyes met with Xiao's golden ones.

"And where were you this fine evening?" he growled out, his eye twitching as he, impatiently, tapped his forefinger against his arm.

I gulped as I said, "Hey, Xiao... I, uh, bought you some Almond Tof-"

"You aren't getting off that easy this time, (L/n). Do you know what time it is?"

"Time for you accept this delicious almond tofu as an apology and compensation for coming home a little later than usual?"

"Wrong. Guess again."

Looking over at the clock on our living room wall, it read, 1:27AM.

"1:27..." was all I mumbled out before playing with the plastic bag between my fingers.

"Exactly. So go to bed now, young lady."

"You aren't my dad-"

"Now," repeated my roommate, throwing icy daggers at me. "And leave the food on the counter."

"Yessir..."

I quickly threw the bag onto said counter before dashing to my room to head to bed before Xiao killed me. I'm guessing that telling him about that kiss Childe and I shared earlier wasn't gonna be a good idea.

Once morning came, it had struck me that I never texted Childe that I had went in just fine last night. As I turned on my phone, I saw that I had gotten a few messages from Childe last night.

Wow, he was really worried about me. I decided to text him back.

Today: 8:25AM
