Fun Times

The car ride back was one of the most fun car rides I had ever been on. Toga and I were past the point of being tried so we were delusional. We stopped by a Starbucks and practically bought everything on the menu. The barista was suspicious of us but didn't care enough to do anything about it. We got our food and continued driving. Toga ended up taking a detour and we just went around to random places. I turned up the radio and just flipped off anyone that drove past us. Granted that wasn't that many people. I don't know how we ate all the food we bought but we did. I didn't feel sick at all either. Toga kept driving to these supposedly scenic places but since it was dark we could see any. We did drive to the one cliff that was very pretty. You could see the entire city below it and all the little lights. I took a picture and almost dropped my phone off the cliff. The picture was definitely not worth it. After that, we were basically just driving around like psychopaths at five in the morning.

When we got back everyone kept asking where we had been. However, Toga and I refused to tell them. There was really no reason we just felt like keeping it a secret.

"You guys are fine unless you got us into legal trouble," Mr. Compress said.

"We didn't commit any major crimes," I argued. Mr. Compress gave me a harsh glance but he turned back to what he was doing. I walked over to the couch and fell down. I didn't remember what happened next because I fell asleep so fast.

Dabi woke me up by throwing water on my face.

"What the fuck," I screamed.

"Oops," Dabi said sarcastically. I grabbed the water out of his hands and dumped it on him.

"Hey," he exclaimed. I stuck out my tongue at him and teleported to the bathroom. I dried myself off and changed clothes. It was a free shower I guess. A knock at the door startled me half to death.

"Occupied," I called.

"I already know you're in there dumbass," Dabi scoffed.

"Ok then leave."

"I'm waiting for you to come out so I can set you on fire."

"I'll just teleport to my room then."

"Shit, I forgot you could do that."

"What a shame," I said, teleporting to my room. I could do it effortlessly now and I was much quicker. I heard footsteps booming up the stairs.

"Dabi just gives up," I yelled.

"Fine, going to sleep," he yelled back. You could hear the pure hatred in his voice. I thought back to when we first met. Back then we had had a few friendly moments together. Then he just seemed to hate me after that. Dabi seemed worse every day. I felt a bit bad for him. He must have been going through something. But he wasn't willing to open up to anyone so I couldn't help. A few minutes later the door to my room busted open. Toga walked in with a huge smile on her face.

"Why are you so happy?" I asked.

"We got on the news," Toga cooed.

"Oh cool. Let me see!" I exclaimed. Toga turned on the TV and flipped around the channels. Finally, she stopped on a news channel. She reminded me a bit until sure enough, I saw the house we had vandalized on the TV.

"Is the world so boring they had nothing better to show?" I sighed.

"Well, they put together that the spray paint came from the store."

"Oh wow, someone gets that person a golden medal."

"I guess they just thought it was interesting," Toga said. I shrugged and turned my attention back to my phone. Toga started looking over my shoulder. I hated when people did that. Strangely she didn't stop there. She scooted fully behind me and started hugging me from the back. Toga buried her face in my back for a few seconds. A pleasant sensation sunk over me. I felt loved for the first time I could remember. I decided just to ignore Toga. She was probably just cold or something. She was sending me such mixed signals. It seemed like she saw me as a friend but sometimes I felt more than that. Toga lifted her head and poked my cheek.

"What are doing?" I chuckled.

"You're not paying any attention to me," Toga whined. She crossed her arms and pouted. God, why did she have to look so cute when she was mad? I thought.

"I'm sorry," I said. I set my phone down and looked at Toga. She was still pouting. I grabbed both of her arms and pulled her off the bed. Toga tried to keep an angry face but I started to see a smile breakthrough.

"What do you want to do?" I asked, tucking a strand of Toga's hair behind her ear. She smiled and leaned against my hand which was now cupping her cheek. An overwhelming urge to just lean in and kiss her overwhelmed me.

"Twice and I want to go get ice cream," Toga said.

"Ok, I'll come with you," I replied. Toga's smile grew and she threw her arm around me. It knocked the last bit of sense out of me. I wrapped my arm around her and hugged her so tight I lifted her off the ground. I realized what I had done and broke away.

"Sorry," I said.

"Don't be," Toga remarked. We walked downstairs together.

"What is up with you too? You've been all lovey-dovey lately," Shigaraki complained.

"Shut up," I shot back. Twice was already standing at the door waiting for us.

"Ready to go? Wait we're going somewhere?" he asked.

"Mhm," I replied. He held the door for the both of us which I thought was sweet. I got in the back seat with Toga. It was just easier so we didn't have to fight over the front seat. Twice agreed to drive. But I hoped he was more stable than he was normally. He normally made split decisions which could cause us to get in a wreck. Thankfully, my nightmares didn't come true. Twice did jerk the wheel several times which made me slab my head into the headrest. But we did make it there in one piece. We all got out of the car a walked into the ice cream shop. A blast of cold air met me as I opened the door. I rubbed my arms trying to make the goosebumps on them disappear.

"Are you cold?" Toga asked.

"Yeah kind of," I replied. Toga took off the jacket she was wearing and handed it to me.

"You didn't have to do that," I began.

"I'm not cold. Just take it," Toga argued. I took the jacket and wrapped it around me. I immediately felt better. The jacket was warm but it also smelled like Toga. For some reason, the smell practically made my heart melt.

We all got ice cream. I got my favorite flavor and Toga got strawberry. She said it was the closest to blood. The waiter was very confused when Twice started naming a bunch of different flavors. I just told her to get a vanilla and chocolate mix. It was too different flavors so I hoped Twice would like it. Thankfully he did. We all enjoyed our ice cream so overall it was just a very nice evening.

I feel like this chapter was a lot of fluff. Dabi is so mean which I am trying to progress. I want him to have some development and open up to y/n but that will probably happen later. The next chapter might be the big fight where Class 1A comes in. After that, there will be a lot more hero-villain drama. I did go back and edit some of the chapters. I just changed anything I thought was weird.
