I got back with no problem. After warping that far something seemed to click. I now knew what I was doing and could do it easily. I still wasn't a pro and was only just discovering the possibilities of my quirk but it was a marginal improvement.

"Wait you actually did it?" Dabi exclaimed.

"Yep. Here's the receipt from the ice cream shop," I replied, tossing the receipt in his face.

"Toga did she actually do it?"

"Yes. Now you can stop being a dick and admit you were wrong," Toga said. Dabi looked very annoyed. He studied the receipt, looking for some sort of mistake to prove us wrong. But there was nothing we had told the truth. The look of embarrassment on his face made everything worth it.

"Oh fuck. I totally forgot to get you some ice cream," I blurted out.

"Shut up," Dabi mumbled.

"Hm, what was that?"

"I said shut up!"

"Just admit you underestimated me and I proved you wrong."

"That's not what happened bitch."

"Yea? What happened then?"

"I'm leaving," Dabi announced. He turned away and left. As soon as the door shut Toga and I fell to the ground laughing.

"He's such a pussy," Toga said.

"I know right? He acts five years old," I added. After teasing Dabi for a while I got off the ground and brushed the grass off of me. I was so preoccupied with getting myself clean again I didn't realize Toga coming up and hugging me.

"I had I really fun time today. We should do that again soon," Toga whispered.

"Yea we should," I replied, wrapping my arms around her. I rested my head on her shoulder. If heaven had a feeling this was it. My body buzzed with excitement and my heart sped up. But I didn't want to make anything awkward so I broke away. I walked back inside but glanced at Toga as I opened the door. I winked at her and she returned to gesture.

"Dabi seemed pretty upset so I assume everything went good with your quirk," Mr. Compress said. He was sitting on the couch and his eyes were glued to the TV.

"It did. I got some ice cream," I replied.

"And you didn't get me any?"

"No sorry."

"It's fine I'm just teasing you," Mr. Compress said, still not paying much attention to me. I sat down next to him on the couch and looked at the TV. It was just the news so I turned back to Mr. Compress.

"Did anything happen?" I asked him.

"Nothing that you should worry about."

"If something happened I want to know."

"The old Class 1A is getting together. It's supposed to be a big thing. I guess because this is the first time they're all going to be together in a few years."

"Um so? Who cares?"

"Shigaraki will care, I better go tell him."

"Oh great. Now we're going to have to fuck up a high school reunion."

"Looks like it," Mr. Compress replied. He got up off the couch and walked upstairs. I moved over so I was more in front of the TV and got ready to change the channel. Then someone appeared on the screen and I stalled for a second. It was some kid with green hair and freckles. I felt like I had seen him before but couldn't tell where. The text under him read, Deku the next All Might. I genuinely laughed. Was that supposed to be a good thing? Some idiot lied to the public his whole career, built this whole platform that came crashing down when he lost his quirk, left a huge mess that other people had to clean up. Now there was another person like him and people were excited? The thought baffled and disgusted me.
